Well that's too bad.  We haven't been there since Restart so this is good to know for our January 2024 cruise that goes to GT.  Sad:classic_sad:

My experience was before the new owners. My experience was the minority but since the new owners I've seen the reviews turn negative on Jack's.

I really hope when M wakes up she has my mobile bar or I have lost ANOTHER one.

I feel like I left it at the poker table she was at and hopefully she realized it and took it with her.

I may have left it at the piano bar. It was empty and I had been ordering drinks by then. I have a bad feeling that is where I left it.

I need a chaperone.

By the time she wakes up it will be time for bed.

I've dropped M off at the casino. She has not done well today. I did my best, but during my sauna session, she hit a streak of rotten luck.

Dinner was good.

My meatball was different, the sauce used to be spicier. This tasted like the normal red sauce Carnival uses, just perhaps a little warmer since it got from the kitchen to my table quickly. The meatball itself was still good. I also appreciate they finally changed the name to Nonna's Meatball, instead of meatballs, since you only get one.

The arancini were very good.

My entree was excellent. The shrimp were nice and plump with a tasty sauce and nice well cooked pasta. Very generous portion and I enjoyed this better than my short rib I ordered here last time. The potatoes were also good, I didn't think I liked them but maybe I have not ordered them before, because they were very good.

They will allow you to order to appetizers although they try to steer you to just one. They would not allow M to order two sides. She offered to leave off dessert and the waitress had to get permission for it to be allowed. So odd that that is the limit.

Dessert was not a very generous portion, but it was a tasty portion. The sorbet was so tart it made my mouth pucker! It paired very nicely with the cake and cream that came with the dish.

Overall a great meal. That said I do not find the value to not really be there anymore at $24. This is a pretty basic meal. Some nice options, but I'm not sure it is worth the additional cost when you have already paid for a meal in the dining room. It is cheaper than the Italian options on Royal, but the menu is very basic compared to what you get at Jamie's or Giovanni's.

Still, if you would like a nice alterative to the dining room without shelling out for the steakhouse, this is a good option and worth a try. Just don't get the short ribs.
