RCCL Cruiser booked NCL, what could possibly go wrong...

We live on our boat for 6 months of the year.  I get the "mundane" thing, but we still love the view!

Here's a comparison I wrote between 2 cruises, NCL and RCCL:

Please elaborate.

there is a link in my signature to the NCL Getaway cruise where I elaborated quite a bit. But basically, their food and the smell of smoke on both ships are the main reasons we aren't even considering NCL.

We would have liked to try the other free venues like the pub with wings, but it was so smoky that we could never stick around for more than a minute.

P.S. I've just reread it and I think I was very generous and too positive back in 2018 when I wrote my review. The MDR food was bad. I do remember leaving MDR a couple of times before we even got to the dessert because the food was awful (dry, cold, undercooked, unseasoned, overseasoned, etc.) The kicker is - I am a glutton and would eat just about anything and love it. DH is a little more choosy and is not a glutton.

It sounds like you need to find a no-smoking period cruise ship.  I've never smoked, but my Dad was a smoker and the smell doesn't bother me a bit.  I can walk into the smoking section of a Casino (on ships that have those) and it doesn't bother me.  Maybe reminds me of my dear father (RIP - WWII combat veteran with every "excuse" to smoke).

Not good for me.  Not bad for me.  I guess it's "good" that I can enjoy a cruise with a wiff of cigarette smoke.  Too bad that you can't.  Just put your mask on and find a non-smoking, masked ship.

Aren't all the ships non-smoking except for designated areas? I am sensitive to the smell of tobacco smoke and did not get a whiff of it on our 11 days on the Prima this past summer.

Yeah, that's what's absurd about claims that the "pub with wings" was intolerably smoky, to the point it could not be abided for even one minute.  The only place I've ever smelled cigarette smoke is in the Casino.
