1-800-355-3017 @kb4683. You can also stay on the menu until offered the chance to speak to a PERSON!

Yes. 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific or 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Eastern. They changed the prompts around and you can't "zero out" easily. I think prompt 3 gets you to the general queue.

If you know the extension, it's easier and you can follow the prompts.

If you never set foot in the casino but still get a free stateroom offer, it's a different, non-casino promo. It could be that you spent a lot on extras. Or, maybe you are a brilliant conversationalist, or your smile brightens up the room.

It's probably the money thing, though.

@POA1 @crystalspin Thanks.  I did finally get our PCC’s voicemail, left him a message (also e-mailed him) — no response.  Since this offer had to be booked by 1-1-24, I called HAL yesterday and the reservationist took care of us and we are now booked B2B on Eurodam in March. 😊

Well here I am.... a long time HA passenger by choice and have NEVER rec'd an offer for a free cabin.  I recently remarried after the loss of my DH and this was his first HA cruise.  He got an email two weeks ago for a free inside stateroom if he were to book by a certain date. REALLY??  we figured it had to be because money was spent in the jewelry store. (that's a whole different post)

Anyway, I called my travel agent and she informed me that she would not make any money by doing this booking for us.  OK, sorry.

Time for a new TA in my opinion.

Never had an issue with booking through a HAL PCC.

I beg to differ.

If you have a free cabin and are not upgrading, there is no commission for your TA.  Naturally they don’t want to handle the work with no compensation.  If you are upgrading that’s different.  A TA works on commission.

A PCC is a salaried HAL employee.  They get points for their bookings and additional compensation when they achieve a certain number.  So, they get paid whether they book a free cabin or not unlike a TA who works on commission.

You can’t compare apples to oranges nor is it fair to expect someone to work for nothing.  JMHO.

Glad you were able to take care of it!

You were not going to get your PCC until Tuesday at the earliest. (January 2nd.)

I have NEVER and nor would I expect anyone in any profession to  work for nothing.  I sold real estate for 30 years and I understand commission quite well.

i disagree.  Assuming that your TA has made lots of money on you in the past and likely will again on future bookings, I think it is very shortsighted of them to not handle this booking, even if they are not making money on this transaction.  If they are this greedy, I wonder what else they are shorting you on???

I was not speaking of my TA , but generally.  My TA handles all my bookings and shorting???  😂. My TA gives me far more than a PCC would in terms of benefits.  I know.  I’ve used a PCC.

I don’t think it is greedy at all to want to be paid for what you do.  I’ve worked on commission so maybe I have a different insight into this.  A lot of TA’s  worked for no money during covid while they cancelled bookings, got FCC for clients, called clients or transferred bookings to way in the future.  They don’t get paid until sailing.  To say they are greedy is very short sighted to me.  They took care of their clients with no compensation for many months.

Nothing wrong with anyone using their PCC for a free cabin.

I contacted him on Thursday morning, 12/28.  While I realize he was only going to work Thursday and Friday, this guy has never responded in a timely manner.
