Private Transportation from FLL to port

Assuming you mean Port Everglades, depending on what terminal your ship is docked at, the ride can be as short as 8 minutes or as much as 30 minutes) if you are stopped by both a train and are delayed at security). Usually, the ride is 13 minutes or so, and less than 5 miles.

FOPMan, Sorry, yes, Port Everglades.  Not using Princess transfers.  4 of us, want to use some kind of vehicle that will accommodate all of us and our luggage.  Plus have a stop at Walgreens before embarking.

A van taxi easily available to FLL or an Uber XL will give you enough room for 4 plus luggage.  Ask them to enter Port Everglades using Eisenhower Blvd and stop at the Walgreens on the corner of Eisenhower and 17th Street.

Thank you capriccio for this info. I was thinking I might not find a van taxi at pickup.  But if they are readily available I will be rest assured.

We are looking at having a family member pick us up at the Port Everglades terminal after our cruise.  What does she need to do to pass through port security in order to meet us curbside at the terminal?  In the past, we needed to show our boarding passes when embarking, but she wouldn't have one for our disembarkation.

TIA

Government issued ID (drivers license) and the name of the ship is all they need.

If they arrive early, there are two cell phone lots where they can wait:

Wait for a call. People coming to pick up returning cruise guests may park for free in our cell phone waiting lots located at the Port Administration Building, 1850 Eller Drive, just past the security checkpoint and at the Cell Phone Lot north of Cruise Terminal 18. https://www.porteverglades.net/cruise/arriving-and-departing/
