Cruisingirl2012 Posted January 31 #1 Share Posted January 31 How close to your cruise date do you get an email for offers on Move-up? We are booked in Prime Oceanview, what would a move-up offer look like based on your personal experience?

Rare Jim_Iain Posted January 31 #3 Share Posted January 31 I rarely get an invite for some reason even though signed up. At 90 days I just go to the MoveUp site and put in Reservation Number and last name and am able to bid. 1

lylone Posted January 31 #5 Share Posted January 31 This last cruise we booked after the full amount was due. Booked the cruise on a Saturday and got the Move Up email on a Monday. Didn't bid as the prices were crazy high.

Djptcp Posted February 1 #7 Share Posted February 1 We didn't sign up for it. Received a Move Up offer email about 2.5 months ago for our March 11th cruise. Bid the top bid amount for a Family Balcony cabin. First time on Celebrity and the ship is full, so doubtful we will get it.

Even though I did I still don't receive the move up announcement. Another thing to check if you put in name and reservation number and get rejected. Try your spouse (if a different last name). Half of the time they are in Iain's Last name and half in mine. 1
Rare Stem to Stern Posted February 2 #9 Share Posted February 2 I recently received a MoveUp email 72 days out from embarkation day. I would first do a mock booking and see what inventory may be available at this time (72 hours out). They will be locking down the reservation system at 48 hours so little time to think about it. Good chance is the prices are based on current bids received and trying to get additional bids. Also a good chance any bid would even be considered if that class of cabin is already sold out - unless a cancellation comes in today.
