Transatlantic Cruise Weather

We are doing our first Transatlantic Cruise next week, and I am wondering about the weather along the way.  Wondering if anyone has done this route before and how long it takes to get to "warmer" weather?  Thanks for any advice!!

If you are sailing to northern Europe next week, you might see temps in the 40's-50's.  If you are heading to the Med it will be pretty similar until you hit Gibraltar, when 50's is more likely

Since weather can change daily, and previous crossings, even at the same time of year may not be consistent with what you experience, you may want to check the forecasts.

 

For detailed info, you can check synopsis and forecasts from UK, Canada or USA. A simple pictorial view can also be achieved using Windy.com

Some years ago as part of world cruise we sailed across Atlantic.  Heard horror stories of what we could expect.  It was delightful weather and very calm seas.  Go figure. Check weather forecasts and long range forecasts, cross your fingers and enjoy whatever the weather.

If you are on the 2/13 NCL from Southampton to Miami (hardly “next week” - but still a TA during which getting to “warmer” weather is relevant, you will probably be in the 50’s-60’s until a couple of days before hitting Miami — which might not be that much warmer in Mid February.

Ok, sorry. I misspoke. We leave for Europe Next week on the 9th (Friday)  and then get on the ship the 13th the next Tuesday.

There are few trans-Atlantic sailings this time of year - so that sounds like the NCL straight shot Southampton to Miami.   The Atlantic is fairly cool this time of year - you may hit some sunny days with temps as high as 70 - but winter is winter, even in the mid-Atlantic.

 

It does look like great pricing.
