Rare gdlamberth Posted April 26 #1 Share Posted April 26 I've asked this question on our Roll Call but the only response I received was from an NCL cruiser. So I thought I'd try here. Does anyone know if we dock or tender at Saguenay? In either event where do we get ashore? At Saguenay? or down at Tadoussac or Baie-Sainte- Catherine? Or, somewhere else? Thanks, Greg
skynight Posted April 26 #2 Share Posted April 26 Docked , not tender. It was a number of years ago, but believe we docked at Port Saguenay on the Saguenay River. There was nothing around the port area except some local vendors and some welcoming music on the dock. There was a local bus that took us to the town of Saguenay.
SeaMystique Posted Sunday at 05:39 PM #3 Share Posted Sunday at 05:39 PM Good to know. How about fjord tours etc. at Saguenay? The area looks gorgeous. We’re in the 9/7/24 cruise out of QC.

We’re in the 9/7/24 cruise out of QC. We did the fjord tour at Saguenay and it was fabulous! Don't go into it expecting to see whales. But the scenery is gorgeous. That was the port we decided to use a Princess tour, because it was about an hour to the actual excursion. There is some light trail walking, so not really handicap accessible. And the other downside? The transportation was on a school bus. Which doesn't work as well for adults 😄 But, I do definitely recommend this tour. Also, if you're like me and struggling over the pronunciation, it's Sag-knee or Sag-nay, depending on the local 😄 Edited Monday at 08:22 PM by Priszm
Rare Jetswdo Posted 9 hours ago #6 Share Posted 9 hours ago I just booked a private tour of the national park and a few highlights which uses regular small buses, not school bus (which turned me off from Princess) Their kiosk is just a 3 minute walk from the dock. Just curious if others have done this in Saguency, and how it worked out for you.
