Deck Plans for Silver Nova

Hi, I am looking at a B2B Alaska cruise May 2025 on Silver Nova (it would be first time w/Silversea).  There are limited cabins available and most of them are right next to the elevator, or next to a large whited-out area of Decks 6 - 9.  Does anyone have experience with being near the elevator (noise, traffic), and could you explain what the large blocks of white on the deck plans are?  Thanks.

Phyllis

The white out areas may correspond to the exhaust system for the engines or they may be crew prep areas.  In any event, the sound proofing is quite good on the ship and I wouldn’t worry.

I have been near elevators on several ships (not Silversea) and never heard any noise.  [I wouldn't try this on one of the booze-cruise ships, but it seems safe on adult-oriented luxury cruises...]

The elevators On Nova open into a large area with the stairs and you exit it into the room corridors- no noise heard in rooms at all from elevators or the whited-out areas (which are crew areas).   very quiet ship.
