Will be visiting Bermuda in July and was wondering if they opened St. Catherine beach. Would like to spend the day there.
Thank you!

When the St Regis hotel was built they were required to maintain and permit public access to the beach so it should be open.

As Horseman said, its open. But the St Regis dominates a good portion of the beach now with their own chairs, service, and their infinity pools butting up on it etc which the public doesn't have access to. While it is all technically public there is a good 3/4 of the beach where you feel like a bit of an outsider if you aren't staying at the St Regis.

There is public access to the beach but the public can not use the hotel amenities that are on the beach. There are no chair rentals or facilities for the public.

Thank you!  We were there years ago when they had food and there was a very nice parrot who loved to talk.

That has been gone a very long time. The Club Med which had been a Holiday Inn was demolished in 2008 and all that ended sometime before that. I was there when they had food but I don’t recall what year, likely 2001 or 2002. (I don’t recall a parrot)

since the fort next door had no food nor water we at lunch at st regis. we only saw the beach fro the restaurant. those pools looked very fun!  interesting to note some of that beach is free. you can get a good view of it from the fort.
