No, you cannot bring wine onboard to consume during the cruise.

If you do purchase anything while in port on a cruise it will be stored for you until the end of the cruise.

What if you need Kosher wine?  Trying to find out what they carry (if any) on board. Form sent to Special Needs but no response. Traveling with friends who require Kosher.

Just fortify any wine with 80 to 100 proof liquor will pass as kosher.

Did they already sort out the food?

There is a list on the MSC Israel website of the Kosher food options...

https://msccruises.co.il/en/on-board/dining-drinks/kosher/

No idea if this is available on all cruises though...

They catch them when it is in 'carry on' luggage.

Thank you! I know every port and cruise line is different... I got the feeling in Tenerife in January that the port didn't care at all as long as it wasn't dangerous. They let us in and out all day with drinks etc.

We're leaving from Southampton so will be different

P.S. we are not big drinkers but realise that gives the impression we are 😂

Like for example MSC's Explora Journeys allows guests to bring aboard wine, bottled mineral water as it is complimentary anyway. I wonder if it is easier for all Yacht Club guests checked luggage as well since it is dropped of at port at YC tent and loaded with gold labels ? It is mostly complimentary in YC as well?

Port staff doesn't mind about alcohol on board. It is MSC staff who doesn't accept it.

About Tenerife security on port.... be awared that staff could be in Barcelona too (they are the same administration, even police, even customs)
