LovesCruisin Posted July 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2004 I just received my preliminary documents for this fabulous cruise. What a nice surprise! Out of all the cruiselines I have been on, this is the first time I have ever gotten pre-final documents. If this is any indication on how Seabourn does things, I know my first Seabourn experience is going to be a wonderful one.

We never know just who might show up! I do know one VIP that will be joining us.........hint, initials are P.R. (I'm thrilled!) Come join the Gilligan Gang and merrymake with us! LovesCruisin Posted July 16, 2004 #10 Share Posted July 16, 2004 Hhmmmm perhaps I should call my TA as I haven't seen my cabin assignment yet. Do you know if this cruise is sold out yet? I would certainly think so. After all, what a marvelous way to spend a long weekend - Cruising the Seabourn way......
Martha B. Posted July 17, 2004 Author #11 Share Posted July 17, 2004 Our Pride Crossing, from London to New York, Aug. 29th will be a packed ship, I heard! I'm guessing we'll have workers on board coming back.....they will probably disembark in NY City on Sept. 16th........then I certainly will not be surprised if the "Gilligan's Island 3 Day Tour" is a sell-out!!! It's a wonderful, fun-filled 3 days! AND, we'll have so many great Seabourn-ites on board! Icing on the cake! Sail on........ MB
avalon1025 Posted July 19, 2004 #12 Share Posted July 19, 2004 Hi All, Just heard from my Seabourn rep that the sailing is full! (so I am staying in my handicapped cabin) I'll be the one taking a bath in the hot tub! JT
Martha B. Posted July 25, 2004 Author #13 Share Posted July 25, 2004 JT~~~~~I think our Crossing (Aug.29th-Sept.16th) is almost a sell-out! I would bet our "Gilligan's Island Tour" IS a sell-out! Don't worry about your suite.......ALL suites are very luxurious! If anyone would like to bring "birthday party goods", please do so! As I will leave on Aug. 25th from Texas, I don't think I'll have room in my luggage to bring our party "goodies" I've visited with a few sailor's and they said they would be happy to bring aboard a few things.......we'll just all "chip in" and share.......I will ask Cheffy to bake us a big cake! OH, and don't forget, I think we decided to each bring a 'lit "gag gift" to exchange! What fun and phooey to celebrate OUR birthdays on the beautiful M/V Pride ship! I'll see 'yall in New York City! La Dolce Vita! MB
avalon1025 Posted July 27, 2004 #14 Share Posted July 27, 2004 gag gifts! what fun! For those that sailed last years cruise, what was the dress like? Is their a formal night? were their tuxes?
Martha B. Posted July 27, 2004 Author #15 Share Posted July 27, 2004 avalon1025~~~~we decided to each bring a 'lit "gag" gift to our birthday party on the OLD CC board.......we thought it might be fun to exchange so everybody would have a party favor of their "Gilligan's Island Tour!" And YES, there is a formal night.....it's the 2nd night out. As to the formal wear, the fellows wore tux and the ladies looked "smashing", in their "haute couture", cafe society wear! Looking forward to meeting and sailing with the CC gang! I think we must have around 15 or so on the "3-day Tour!" See 'ya in NY City....... Martha B. Posted July 27, 2004 Author #17 Share Posted July 27, 2004 Ira~~~~we are so happy that you and Marta (many folks call me "Marta") will be joining us! Absolutely join the "birthday gang"......we will all look forward to meeting and being with you! Don't forget to bring 2 'lit "gag" gifts. During your muster drill look up at the Sky Bar railing and you'll see a few of us drinking champagne.......I'll be the one in the Tiara! (we will have come from London---and are not required to don lifejackets) The cruise terminal is 54th Street, but if you come by Taxi, he'll know where to drop you off. The "red-caps" will take care of your luggage and see that it's sent to the Pride ship. Again, so happy you and Marta will be joining all "The Gilligan's Island Gang!" It will be an unforgettable 3 days! MB

LovesCruisin Posted August 4, 2004 #21 Share Posted August 4, 2004 For all of you experienced Seabourn NY Waterways cruisers, is the Casino ever opened on this voyage? How would they do that if the ship is close to shore (which by my best recollection would be the entire stretch of the Hudson). And I too called Seabourn and yes, the cruise is sold out! I received my guarantee as well and are very happy with my assignment. This should be a fun voyage, if only I can find a hotel room that is reasonable. For some reason Hotels in NYC that week are running very high. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
adolfo2 Posted August 4, 2004 #22 Share Posted August 4, 2004 Hello There: The ship goes out to sea at night so that the casino can open. During our first 3-day the weather was poor one night so we dropped anchor next to the Statue of Liberty & overnighted there instead of going out to sea (casino was closed). See you on-board! Martha B. Posted August 5, 2004 Author #23 Share Posted August 5, 2004 Sailor's, why don't we all meet at the Sky Bar after the Muster Drill? I know Eric De Gray will have a "sail-a-bration", probably with the band. If we want, we can all wear some type of a "birthday hat"....... this way, we will be able to tell "who's who" as to our C.C. group. Just an idea. It will be an "informal" evening and we'll have some time to visit and meet everyone before dressing for dinner. Soooo, if 'yall think this is a good plan, "don't forget your birthday goofty hat" and a small gag gift! Sail on....... MB
LovesCruisin Posted August 5, 2004 #24 Share Posted August 5, 2004 AB, thanks for the information. I thought the casino would only be open at night. My DH was hoping that it would be closed, but alas while he is 1,000 miles away his wife can squander all of his life savings (only kidding!). And Martha dear - can any of us wear a birthday tiara, or is that reserved for you.? I adored reading the story about your Gilligans cruise last year - am wondering if wearing a Tiara would get me on any earlier! Looking forward to meeting everyone next month. Martha B. Posted August 5, 2004 Author #25 Share Posted August 5, 2004 By all means, wear a "birthday TIARA!" I've decided to wear "Longhorns" instead of my glitzy Tiara! I'm saving that one for the evening! hahaha I don't know about the "early boardin'".......you might try sweet talkin' the Port Authority Agent! Sometimes when I board, they don't know just "who the %$#*&" it is.......hahaha Looking forward to seeing everyone on board the beautiful M/V Pride ship!
