Hi ..we're doing a little two day coastal from Van - San Fran. Does anyone know if any shore excursions are available on arriving in San Fran? if not, is there somewhere you can leave your bags for a couple of hours? our flight doesn't leave until around 4:30.

Tx

You'll find that Princess will offer something for people who take their shore excursions. In some cities it is a secure hotel banquet room, in others it is bags underneath the bus. You'll have to see what they offer onboard.

Not to far from the pier is the Fisherman's wharf area - and there are things like harbor tours there - or just some neat tourist shopping or watching seals.

Cruise Junky. . .The California Welcome Center that is located on level two at PIER 39 has luggage storage between the hours of 10 AM to 5 PM . The cost is $5 per bag. One word of caution. . .do not refer to San Francisco as San Fran or Frisco when you are visiting.

The people who live in San Francisco are very proud of their city. They don't like it when people refer to their city as Frisco or San Fran and you may end up getting less than friendly service or response to questions. It really just boils down to respect for the customs of the area you are visiting. Although the term Frisco is making a comeback among the young and in tattoo parlors.
