First of all I will start by saying that we were all very disapointed in this trip. It started with the 3 day thing. But just got worse. We seen out stewart about 2 times the hole cruise, no animals, nothing. The waitstaff did not but took orders. No talking, they did sing but even that they did not act like they wanted to do. While eating in the Wheelhouse grill there was a fire, coming out of the celing, then the next day it was leaking lots rain. In FreePort our times changed, all excurisions was canceled. So we done nothing but shop! Not even much of that. The boat was clean, the casino staff was friendly. The dang matre'd, did not even come to our table on this one. Out of all my cruises this is the worst. No activities, the last day was good, but we were all to sea sick to do anything. So it was bad. From a 1-10 I rate it about a 4! Have fun future cruiser's!!!!

It will be interesting to see what other cruisers on this sailing have to say. The trip had a lot going against it from the start with a shortened itinerary. Hopefully the discounts for this cruise and a future cruise more than make up for it with most cruisers.

Miranda, Dh & I will be on with you. Here's to having a good time. Cheers!:D

We are driving down from Chattanooga on Sunday and staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Kingsland, GA. Where is Kingsland Ga? You say? The last exit on 95 before the Florida line. We hope for pretty weather. I think they are getting rain now. I know we are.

See you on board, Candy

No the discount and the money we get back will not make it any better. We got back like $55 pp. It did not make the bad service, and the fire, or the flood better. I love carnival, and I hate to write this review. I hope all of ours is better

My Mother and I got off the Celebration this morning and I must say we had a wonderful time. Our waiters in the Horizon dinning were very friendly. Lukman was from Indonesia and Reynaldo was from the Philippines. Our table mates were very nice. Our stewart was Samuel I saw him a couple of times. He was nice also. Yes they did cancel the shore excrsions, but it was the ones on the water. I guess the winds were to bad. Freeport wasn't much, same tourists shops but still interesting to see someplace different. Didn't hear anything about a fire or leaking cellings. Sorry the Scotts had such a miserable time. Yes we had aminal towels on two different nights. I know one was a swan but the other one I'm not sure of. We saw a few shows and they were pretty good. Don't think the casino was very generous. I donated about $5 bucks. Not any big winners that I heard about. I spent too much on ship photos, but who knows when my Mom (74) and I (53) will get to do this again. Had rough waters yesterday so we skipped lunch, calmed down in a few hours. Last but not least the food in the Horizon was excellent. Hope this helps to relieve some of your worries. Have a great cruise.

Wow Im sorry you had a bad cruise. I was on the week of the Aug 17. The ocean was like a sheet of glass. We were lucky we had a really good cruise.

You should go on their website and send a letter on the comments section. Let your voice be heard, maybe they will give you a discount on a future cruise.

I believe this cruise was changed from 5 days to 3 days due to mechanical problems. My understanding is the OP did get money back from the missed days and an additional 50% of their next cruise.

They also had the option to cancel with a full refund.;)

My wife and I were on the shortened sailing of the Celebration this week. While we were disappointed in the weather, the chosen port of call and the shortened vacation, I understand that these were all things directly out of the realm of Carnival's control. They were more than gracious with us. We were given the option to cancel and chose not to. They gave us half our money back, which was fair considering we received about half a cruise. They have offered us 50% off a future 3-5 day cruise. To top that off, Carnival anted up $150 each for expenses incurred during our extra two days in Jacksonville. They didn't want to at first, but they really came through monetarily. So when you exclude our flights, the actual cruise was essentially free for us.

Ernesto proved to be a pain but the captain did the best under the circumstances. Our dining room staff was incredible. Luna and Aleks in the Horizon...great guys. What I was disappointed in was the cleanliness of the ship. I realize that she is an older vessel, but on numerous occasions we had to clear a table to find a place to eat in the Wheelhouse Grill. There were empty glasses everywhere. I had read here that the Celebration crew was top notch, and some surely were. However, I have definitely experienced better.

Just one cruiser's opinion.

Well, Carnival is very good about trying to make things right. I sent a comment letter after the Conquest trip - just wanted to point out a few things on my trip that could have been better. I really didn't expect to get anything back - just trying to make them aware. They gave me $60 OBC for my next cruise. It was an unexpected nice surprise, and because of it I booked another cruise. This was the first time I had ever sent a letter, and will only do so again if I really feel there is something they need to know. I do believe they truly care about their customers, they have never given me a reason to feel otherwise.

After hearing that I am gald I canceleld and went on the sensation. However I feel that same way. The sneations was old and outdated. It wass fairly clean, but falling apart. The wear and tear was bad. The captain was good at keeping us informed about Ernesto. I saw the celegbration behind us for a while this last week. I am slo drafting a letter about my problems. Good luck.

Well I did call carnival. We got $25 pp on board credit. I know that it was a 5 day cut short. But like you said dirty tables, having to work to seat down, falling on water that comes out of the celing. We had one towel animal. Called our steward about 5 times he never came so we gave up. Never saw him. The food in the Horizon was Great but it always is. The food in the wheelhouse was jut ok. I will continue to cruise with carnival. But this just did not come in compare with past cruises. Don't let me review stop any of you. I just think that the crew had nine days off and forgot how to work, and treat customers.

I don't understand your comment, if you are taking a swipe at me it is unnecessary. I am not encouraging people to complain for the sake of complaining, but if you were unhappy with something you should voice your concern. That is how they know what people are thinking, and it helps them make their service better. I spend plenty of money while I am on the boat, that will more than make up for the $60 OBC they gave me.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with him, but you might want to read his posts. He is just being a smart a##. You had every right to voice your concerns. He has a agenda;)

Please don't concern yourself with those comments... he has room to talk, he "apparently" saw someone put a cigarette out in carpet and ended up "blackmailing" Carnival with videotape into getting a free cruise for 2 (yes, it does sound far fetched doesn't it??? LOL) So your $60 is not raising cruise fares...
