Beds - is there a gap???

DH & I are going on the Imagination in 12 days time (yippee!!!), and I have a question about the beds.

 

When the 2 twin beds are placed together is there a gap? Do they put a mattreess pad over the top??

I bring a bungee cord to keep the beds together. So they wont come apart at the most inappropriate time. But the problem is that when they snap back they might catch a body part

 

We didn't know that if you tell you stewart/stewardess to "Tie" the beds together he/she will. So we had that problem all thru the cruise.

I have not sailed the Imagination but from the other ships I have been on there is no gap. I could definitley feel the edge of each bed in the middle it was kind of hard but no too bad.

I was on the Elation in April and they had a pad. I can say that it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Carnival beds are awesome.

I love my DH to pieces, but I don't want him--or anyone else--touching me when I sleep. So he stayed on his side and I stayed on mine. Never noticed if there was a gap!!

There was a gap but it was the only uncomfortable thing about the beds. The pillows were wonderful.
