CruisinMatt Posted July 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2004 A friend mentioned an email she got about a Christian themed cruise in January. Does anyone know of one and what Line/ship it is? She sent for the brochure but does not have the email anymore. I guess many contemporary christian artists will be performing throughout...... :)
FlorenceItaly Posted July 15, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2004 Check out klove.com, It's a radio station. They keep advertising the cruise. I believe it is a Carnival cruise...The Sensation, but I could be wrong. The info should be on klove.com. Just the other morning they said it was 85% booked. It's in Jan 2005. Host Caroline Posted March 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 20, 2005 Cruise Critic guidelines don't permit posting of travel agency names or links to travel agencies. If you guys can repost your information in more general terms, please do so as it's a good topic.. you can also use "GOOGLE" and just put in "Christian Cruises" to find links. thanks for your cooperation

I'm sorry. I didn't even think of "travel agent" when I posted those two links for Christian Cruise companies. Since those agencies bring aboard leading Christian teachers, I thought of the cruises noted on those websites as being organized more by the teachers themselves than by the particular "agency." I'll think a bit more carefully before posting links in the future. I didn't mean to violate CruiseCritic policy. Blue skies ... --rita
Travel Mom Posted May 14, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 14, 2005 The January cruise looks to be a blast. There are great Christian artists playing. It is out of Los Angeles. I thought it was a bit high for the time of year. I wish something like that would come up when my kids were out of school. They would love it!! mdaviswv Posted October 9, 2005 #10 Share Posted October 9, 2005 Does anyone know anything about these cruises? My wife and I have been on several cruises and and are really getting tired of the entertainment on Carnival, or better yet the lack thereof. Anyway, I'd like to know what its like on these. At least there would be bands I know and music I like. But I'm afraid it would be screwy in other ways such as the bars and casino closed. If anyone has any info on them, I'd appreciate it. mikr

Honeybear Posted June 20, 2006 #19 Share Posted June 20, 2006 I'm going on a Christian Comedy All Girl's Get-A-Way Cruise. Nov '06 out of Jacksonville, FL. This cruise is on the Carnaval "Celebration". I can't give the links to the sites but my email address is Deena63@verizon.net I need a roommate. I'm married to a non-cruiser. I don't smoke, drink nor curse, (but I do snore). I'm 58 years of age. I have two grown children and three grandchildren. We live in a small town in Southern Illinois. I've been on two cruises before, but am by no means a pro. I don't work outside of our home. I'm very active in our "small" church. I guess my favorite thing in this world is to laugh! My daughter and I have been on a cruise for the past two years. My husband wants no part of cruising, he says he cruised while in the Navy! (like that is anywhere the same LOLOL) Oh well, I love him dearly anyway. The room I have booked is on the Upper deck and right by the elevators. When I called for reservations the Lady said it was $784 pp. If you'd be interested please let me know and we'll see if we might be compatible. ragamuffin Posted October 25, 2006 #23 Share Posted October 25, 2006 I'll be cruising Thanksgiving week with my brothers, their families, and our mother. I'm looking forward to spending time with the family, and but also thinking wouldn't it be great to meet some new Christian friends....or dare I even think, a "special someone." But it is not like folks wear a sign around their neck reading "committed Christian". How does one meet other Christians on board, short of walking around with your Bible in plain site?? I know my brothers, who have my best interests at heart, will try to encourage me to go dancing or to the casinos....Not going to happen. But what are the choices for Christian singles on your average cruise ship?
Esther1 Posted December 7, 2006 #24 Share Posted December 7, 2006 Hello, I've just registered, sorry not to be able to answer this before you cruised at Thanksgiving. Perhaps it will help someone cruising at Christmas. We'll be cruising to Mexico ourselves on Norwegian Star and would love to meet other Christians. We'll be celebrating our 56th cruise (or is it 57th?)... The answer is, Yes, absolutely! There already is a special interest group for Christians cruising. Cruise lines have become very accomodating to many different groups who simply want to find each other. This one is often called "Christian Fellowship meeting," or "Bible Study with your fellow passengers," etc. Even the cruise staff are often interested in these or privately have their own Bible studies ongoing. Whether they're listed in the schedule or not, on just about every cruise, Christians are already meeting for small group studies, coffee, or just for prayer. On the last day of our last cruise, we met a few Christians sitting near the purser's desk reading their Bibles. They hadn't been reading the daily schedule to know many of us were already meeting. Once onboard, simply meet your cruise director and ask if a Christian fellowship meeting or Bible study with fellow passengers is already requested and scheduled. If not, they will be happy to accomodate. These guys work so hard, and do so much to make every group happy and a great sailing. We just got back from the Sun Princess in Europe, and truly loved the Christian Fellowship meetings. Over 50 people representing countries from all over the world poured into the lounge at the first mention of Bible study, most carrying their study Bibles brought from home. Wherever you travel next, Happy cruising! Esther :)
kryos Posted December 11, 2006 #25 Share Posted December 11, 2006 But it is not like folks wear a sign around their neck reading "committed Christian". Actually, I do. I wear my cabin key on a lanyard ... with the fish symbol. I picked up the lanyard at my church's bookshop. Other Christians onboard have spotted me exactly this way and I've been able to link up for fellowship, bible study, or whatever.
