I have heard about this rule at the airport but not for the island in general. I have never worn camouflage in St. Kitts (not exacting a fashion statement). I guess they don't want people impersonating the military on the island.

Barbados has the same rule. We saw military on the island when we were there last week and they wear camouflage. It is a very serious offence to wear camouflage clothing.Have a great trip.

See this is why CC is so great. I have never heard of this before. Now I don't wear camo because I don't like it. I have not been to St. Kitts before either. Have been to Mexico on several cruises and week stays and have never heard or saw this being illegal in Mexico.

They don't want people impersonating the military on the island.

That's the thinking here on Barbados,as well.

And it's rigidly enforced too, let me tell you.

I vaguely recall hearing something about a terrorist attack at their airport where the people were impersonating military and dressed in camo. I believe they outlawed the look after that.

There was a guy on our last cruise to St Kitts that got off the ship in camo shirt and pants. He was not 5 feet onto the dock when he was stopped. After a short discussion, he went back on board coming off again in about 10 minutes with a dark t shirt and jeans....

I just returned from St. Kitts and they are serious about this. A young girl in front of us at the airport was told to go to the bathroom and change her shirt before she would be allowed to pass through St. Kitts immigration.

The capers on the cruise ship also post that it is illegal to wear such clothing. It's so important to READ those capers a wealth of info.

Camouflage is reserved for military personel on many islands. This is enforced in St. Kitts. Its a beautiful island enjoy your time their. Take a trip to Ottleys Plantation, its breathtaking.
