D&CHaskins Posted December 19, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 19, 2007 Now, when they say rolling out immediately...ya think I'll reap some benies of this on my 1/19/08 cruise? give them 1 month! That would be sweet!:D
cliffd64 Posted December 19, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 19, 2007 The unfounded rumors of no lobster in the main dining room on NCL ships were proved to be untrue aboard the Sun on the week of 12/8 - 12/15... Lobster was served on the first formal night (first day at sea) along with a delicious Beef Wellington. having additional lobster will be good, but once is always enough on a one week cruise for me... Being from the NE, we are spoiled with it.
smeyer418 Posted December 19, 2007 #8 Share Posted December 19, 2007 They are going upscale....a newer NCL. I like it. ...now if I can see the new lattitudes benefits I'll be in hog heaven....
NorthernNeighbour Posted December 19, 2007 #9 Share Posted December 19, 2007 I found nothing to object to. Love it! Hope everything is in place for the GEM cruise in February to the Caribbean from New York.
ron46936 Posted December 19, 2007 #10 Share Posted December 19, 2007 Is Apollo Management the same as Apollo catering that has provided food service to some cruise lines? If so that will be great. Apollo helped Celebrity line build its reputation as the best food on the popular priced lines. It really sounds like they are in process of bringing back some of the great perks of cruising that we lost in recent years due to the price wars. runner15km Posted December 19, 2007 #13 Share Posted December 19, 2007 Good news. It is very important for a business to reinvent itself and to push for organic growth in order to stay ahead of the competition.:)
AFAMILY Posted December 19, 2007 #14 Share Posted December 19, 2007 This all sounds great to us. Taking a good thing and making improvements in all categories especially in the area of food is a wonderful thing. Sounds like NCL is listening to it's customers and reading these boards. katiel53 Posted December 19, 2007 #15 Share Posted December 19, 2007 These things all sound good to me. I am hoping that they will be in effect by May when we go on Pearl to Alaska. I am also hoping that the upgrade people will call us to offer something for not too much money. When we went to Alaska on Star, they called to offer us upgrades from out AF to Ocean Villas or whatever they are called. There were 5 of us and they wanted $5k. We offered $3k, but they said no, so we enjoyed our AF. We are booked in 3 AF's again. Wonder if anything upgrades for a reasonable price will be offered? TXRed Posted December 19, 2007 #24 Share Posted December 19, 2007 This is great...we booked our first cruise on NCL for Alaska 9/08....although we are platinum members on RCCL we decided to go with NCL for several reasons. We knew we were giving up some nice perks on RCCL though:(...but now it looks like we will be getting some of them back.....I am liking NCL more and more....:D Details: http://www.businesswire.com/portal/site/google/index.jsp?ndmViewId=news_view&newsId=20071219006036&newsLang=en
