We have just booked a mini suite # C228 on the Coral. Am concerned about motion and noise. We have always been mid ship but this time wanted a mini suite. Has anyone had a cabin in this area?

Actually, we were in C226 in Alaska this past June. Other than the first day when seas were pretty moderate it wasn't bad at all. My kids loved the fact that they could see the captain from the balcony in the bridge and if in port, if they waved at him he would wave back.

We are booked on coral princess C205 which is a minisuite. We are a family of four including our two children ages 10 and 14.I have the same concern as our cabin is at back of the ship.

I will keep checking this thread to see any feedback you get,BTW when are you sailing. Our sail date is 4/15/08.

The movement is different in the back of the ship. Forward it is a more pronounced up and down motion. The aft has more of a wallowing motion which, to me, is not nearly as noticeable. We love the aft cabins and book them whenever available.

Have to tell you, C205 is way up the front on the right hand side

From what our 4 tablemates said who had 2 minis in that same forward location, I would definitely NOT go with that location. We had 2 minis mid-ship on the same deck (Dolphin Deck) and hardly felt any movement at all. (and I notice it).

For two nights, our tablemates said they could hardly sleep. What size were our waves? The highest out of 10 nights was only 3 feet!!!!

I have Meniere's disease and absolutely won't do the forward staterooms. I made the mistake of letting my mom pick a cabin on Sun Princess for us some years ago, and she went with one about four cabins back from the prow. We had 30 feet seas during that trip, and it was constantly ride the wave up and then slap down HARD. No thanks, I'll stick to my Dolphin deck midship mini-suites now.

We were on the Coral in December and were in C231, selected it because of the location and the covered balcony. Thought it was a great location. We have had aft, mid ship, and forward and have enjoyed all of them. I guess the rough seas don't really bother us, if they are bad I take a Bonine and that helps me.

We are in c230 on the Island in Alaska in June. I get VERY seasick if the seas are the least bit rough. How was your ride in the c231? I actually had a cabin on dolphin deck around mid ship but it wasn't covered so I changed it to this one. Hopefully I won't be too sick to sit out there. joan

Absolutely no problem for us. It is a great location; fairly close to the elevators and a straight shot up to the Horizon Court and down to the Princess Theatre, casino and dining rooms.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

We have sailed on the Island/Coral in those forward minis several times. The movement was not bad and did not bother us. :)

Maybe another suite will open up  Does anyone have any ideas? We have to make the final payment today !!!!!
