How much have you won on a cruise

I can't find my original question, so I am asking it again. We won $337 on our last cruise. We recently went to Charlestown Races & Slots in WV and spent $60 and I won $83 and hubby won $42. But from past responses to this message, it seems most of you have won big on cruises. Do tell.

Well, as long as you have asked. I won the JP Bingo...twice!

First time was on the Brilliance, the day before the big final. I won in just 46 numbers and Bingo was cancelled for the next day since I had won.

Then I won again, while on the Monarch.

I rarely go in the casino. The most I'd play would be $100 bucks for the entire cruise.

Ok - so it wasn't me, but on my last cruise my mom won $6000 in the casino over the trip on RCCL. My uncle won over $2000 that same trip. Mom wins on most cruises. She mostly plays the slots.

The cool thing was because they spent so much time playing they got a letter when they got home that they had a big discount on another cruise and a special phone numbe to use to make bookings. They also got free drinks in the casino on board.

It's not like they were in there all the time, but they did spend a lot of time a few days.

I won $500 in the BlackJack tournament on our last cruise. But what I am most proud of is, I won bragging rights on a Quiz Show type contest on that same cruise. There were 3 other contestants. You had to buzz in first and have the right answer to win. On a number of occasions during the game, the host had to give out bonus points just to give me some competition. But in the end, I succeeded and won a picture frame, towel, shirt, and mug.

My friend and I each put $20 into a 2 penny slot on the last night of our July 2006 cruise. It was getting late, and we were getting tired, so we were hitting max bet, 9 lines. We walked out with $1980. It was a very good night. Unfortunately, as much as I have tried, and tried, and tried, I've not been able to do it again! BTW - we were one off from winning the BMW!

Sept 11, 2006 Holiday $1000 at Bingo

Jan 18, 2007 Fantasy $499 at BJ

Oct 11, 2007 Fantasy $150 at Bingo

Nov 3, 2007 NCL Spirit $549 at BJ

There were some other blackjack wins on the other ships that I dont remember off the top of my head. I missed the drawing for a free cruise on our Oct 2005 sailing on the Sun by one number. They had everybody stand up and then sit down if you did not have the number. It got down to me and another lady, they called out the number and I sat down. :(

Very first cruise.. spring 2002, TA calls us 10 days before cruise, says "they changed the name of your category of cabin to concierge class, I'm not sure what it means, but I thought I should let you know" So, out of sheer dumb luck we were among the first to experience CC on the Infinity. Third day out, middle of the pacific, lying in the shade, with a book in one hand, a drink in the other, lazily observing flying fish sailing over the wake of the ship, here comes DH, $1500 richer from two pulls on slot machine... and people wonder why I love cruising so much!

On our last cruise DH won $3,000 on a slot machine on Liberty of the Seas. It paid for our upcoming Panama Canal cruise.

(By the way, I was born in Charles Town, WV and brought up in the area. Didn't have the slots back then but I have been there.)

On a princess cruise, I woke up the husband at 2:00 am because I had won $700 on a slot machine. The next night was we were playing video poker, I told him I won again. They arrived and promptly paid me $2800 in cash. What a great cruise that was.

Let's not talk about the cruises where I game them my money .....

  • 3 weeks later...

I was 18 and it was my very first cruise. Had never gambled before, obviously only being 18. Went into the casino on a Canival ship, put in a little bit of money and after about three hits won over $100. This was the first day, nice start huh?
