How much have you won on a cruise

Has any of you played texas holdem on board?

I played last year on Serenade to Alaska. I played every night for a few hours and basically the same people played every night. Won about 250.00 in 7 days.

But, on the previous cruise to Mexican Riviera I won over 4000.00 playing craps. Paid for the cruise to Alaska.

I don't waste time going to the casino any more.

Instead, I stick money bills into empty Grolsch flip-top beer bottles, reseal them and launch them into the sea.

I lose a lot less money than I would in the casino and - you never know - someone else out there might become a winner!

Me personally..zilch. But last year on the Freedom, my sister won over $17,000 over the course of our 12 day cruise. She only plays quarter poker and she hit the royal at least 3 times. There was wine on our table everynight from the slot manager.

My sister won close to $4,000 playing jackpot bingo on NCL Sun a couple of years ago. They gave her a hard time in giving her the money. Said she needed her SS card etc. But they finally gave up the cash.

I think my cruise addiction began when I won $1200 on my very first cruise! Had to wait until last year to win again - playing Texas Hold-Em won enough to keep my bill down to under $400 (it was over $1500!) so looking forward to my next cruise in a couple of weeks.

But win or lose I just love cruising!

All of these stories of people winning is what will drive me to gamble and lose my money on my next cruise ;)

We've only been on one cruise, but the GF won $70 on quarter slots - she was sick of nickels and wanted to leave the casino, so she took her $10 worth and tried to flush it away on quarters, only to win a bit. She hates gambling and was only there because of me. I broke even.

I would love to win enough to pay for the vacation, that would be an awesome prize.

We leave in a week. I love cruising and gambling. My DH hates gambling and this is his first cruise. So, my hopes are to break the bank in the casino to cover this cruise and possibly another in November. Then maybe he will like all things that I like.

The last day of our last cruise 10 minutes before they closed the casino I walked in and put a 20 in a dollar slot and hit $950. I cashed out just as they were announcing that the casino was closing.

Another cruise I wont $200 on a dollar slot.

Overall though, you will find the machines are pretty tight. I usually budget $100 for the 7 days.

It seems like the first and last days I have the best luck.. but you know there is no real rhyme or reason to it. Most times, they get my money but a couple of times I got theirs. :D

Good luck

I won $1,700 on the roulette wheel, I hit the number 20 with $50 on the number......played a little more, won and lost a little more but walked away with $1,700, the cashier said that never happens on roulette:p

$50 on one number. That is what I call gambling! I won $1000 on our first cruise playing video poker (Ecstasy) and DW won $300 playing slots on the Conquest last year.

I won about $750 from the jackpot bingo on HAL Volendam in 1982 on my honeymoon. It paid for our wedding photos! I haven't been on a cruise since, but am looking forward to a Baltic Cruise with my daughter next May. Maybe I'll get lucky again 27 years later!

I won $2,350.00 on a quarter slot machine off $12. It was a triple triple machine, so it paid me 81 times triple bar. I about flipped out because I never play quarters because I think they are a waste. I have had a few other jackpots on cruises before on dollars, but the rest of the time have lost. The cruise I was on I saw a lady playing the five dollar slots and absolutely going up and down the row cleaning them up for thousands and thousands and thousands. She kept running the money up to her safe. I know she was in pretty deep at first, but she got it all back and way ahead. I was envious!

On our 25th wedding anniversary cruise in August 2008 on the Tahitian Princess as always we entered all the raffles on the first day of the cruise. The next day at the art action we won a 2 beautiful lithographs and a free portrait from the photo shop. Later that afternoon we won $75.00 at bingo. That evening we won another beautiful lithograph and the cruise DVD at the casino raffle. People were beginning to wonder who we paid off to win so often.

In December 2008 on my DW’s 50th birthday cruise we entered the Bacardi Rum Raffle on the Carnival deck party and my DW won the free Carnival cruise that included all taxes, fees and gratuities compliments of Bacardi and Carnival. For this raffle a person was given one entry for every Bacardi mixed drink ordered from the pool bar during the course of the cruise. We usually never order drinks from the pool bar but a cute girl promoting the raffle at the deck party talks us into buying at least one drink.

We felt pretty luck especially since these were special celebration cruises for us.

I hope our luck hold for this year’s cruises.

Just got off Alaska Cruise on Serenade. Played Hold Em two nights when there was no smoking in the casino. Can't believe how people give away their money....won 450.00 the first night and 625.00 the second night. I only played for a total of 6 or 7 hours.
