jaycor99 Posted February 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Hi just got off the Summit in Jan -first time on Celebrity. We are diamond on Royal caribbean We loved it and are booking back to backs next Feb. I know this is a hard question to answer because the ship is not built but we have a choice between 1668 CC and 7362 SV-both aft which we love. The difference in price is only 30.00 for all 3 of us. We stayed in 6145 SS on the Summit so did love the extra touches. My question is it better to be in a CC cabin then a regular one. Does anyone who has stayed in a CC cabin have any help for me? thanks so much

chessbriar Posted February 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2008 You get an extra sailing credit on Captain's club for Concierge
Mike2131 Posted February 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2008 You get an extra sailing credit on Captain's club for Concierge jaycor99: If you are booking direct, I would call Celebrity to compare the amenities. If you are booking through a TA, I would have them confirm differences. We had our TA confirm double sailing credits for AQ before booking in that class. Do you have reciprical enrollment (at an advanced level) in the Captain's Club? I know it works the other way (Celebrity to RCCL). The double credit is a big win for CC, AQ, and the suites. Rare C-Dragons Posted February 18, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2008 CC , AFT, is a win-win opportunity: extra amenities plus AFT location. SV class is just a regular cabin, AFT,with no extra amenities. CC, AFT, is one of our favorite places to be. :D
jaycor99 Posted February 18, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted February 18, 2008 We are considered elite on Celebrity now because of being diamond on RCL and have a members number. Just called Celebrity to confirm about the double credit(would be great as we are doing back to backs) but they are closed because of the holiday. will go ahead and change cabins online to the CC anyway. thanks all

Spender Nui Posted February 19, 2008 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2008 Haven't been on this board for a while. Is there any information about the size of the aft/stern cabins? Is there extra space as on the M class ships?
jaycor99 Posted February 19, 2008 Author #11 Share Posted February 19, 2008 Just checked under Captain's Club on Celebrity's website. Under membership benefits it does say that Concierge Class staterooms and suites get a additional cruise credit per sailing. Yet the lady at Celebrity said only suites-Anyone receive an extra credit? Thanks again http://www.celebritycruises.com/captainsclub/heroSingleTxtSub.do;jsessionid=0000OunMGoOkCm5xJSZNYXQnkcc:12h3rnd1c?pagename=membership_benefits
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted February 19, 2008 #12 Share Posted February 19, 2008 My guess would be that the lady at Celebrity didn't know the policy. Wouldn't be the first time. I'd hold them to the written policy published on their site.
