"What NOT To Wear"

Stacey's outfits were fabulous for this show, The "victim" in this case did come out looking better, however, I really was not impressed with her new clothes, they seemed on the cheap side. It's too bad that she couldn't have taken the clothes right off the mannequins, I really loved those. it was fun to see the ship, I've never done ncl, and after seeing the ship I think it's probably not for me.

All, Thanks for the comments...yes, I've seen the show, and Stacy even was a speaker at my company's annual conference last month (I'm with Lia Sophia), but since the show was titled "cruisewear" I thought they may have made over the "victim" :D on what she should wear on board. At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing the show. I look forward to seeing the ship, too.

Now you've given me a great idea....to take photos of best-dressed "natives" in ports and also best-dressed guests on-board during pool-side relaxing, dinner, elegant nights, casino-wear, etc. I'll put my 4 days at sea to good use! Karen

If I had Stacy's looks and the money for her wardrobe, I'd happily dress that way every single day, my job or not!

I love the way Stacey dresses. I was simply agreeing with another poster who said they doubted she dressed that way all the time off camera.

Yes, Stacy looks beautiful and very put together always on the show. I have noticed on the show though, that she will put WNTW guests into nice jeans and walking shorts etc.- but we rarely see Stacey wear them on the show. I feel this is because of the "image" of her that the show wants to project.

I still believe that she will wear a nice pair of jeans or walking shorts on a causal day when she's not doing the show. I have heard her say about cerrtain outfits that she would wear them to run to the grocery store, errands etc.-although she is never shown wearing those type of outfits on the show.

That was the point that you missed on why I replied to the other poster. Boarding a cruiseship is a "casual wear" situation-(except for maybe if you are fortunate enough to cruise Cunard's Queeen Victoria or Queen Mary 2-I would not know as I have not been fortunate enough to cruise that line).

Boarding, Stacey wore a nautical blazer, dressy blouse, skirt, and high heels. As the other poster mentioned, she was over dressed. Now if she had chose to wear that to dinner, she would have been fine-but a simple blouse, walking shorts, possibly and blazer, and low heeled sandals would have been more appropriate for boarding ship.

Did I have a problem that she dressed that way boarding ship? No I didn't. I knew Stacey was simply projecting her "image" for the show-but I also know-that if she had been helping a WNTW guest to pick an outfit for boarding ship-it would not have been that dressy.

While I did like the show, if I were the victim and was forced to shop in every port, I would have been so annoyed!! What a way to spend your vacation!!! Seems like she did nothing on the cruise except all the makeover stuff! I know they don't show everything but they really made it seem that way. I hope she got a second cruise out of it to actually enjoy!!

I've read that is what actually happens. There are several stylists who work behind the scenes, doing the preliminary choices for the mannequins, then Clinton & Stacy select the clothes to go ON the mannequins. Similarly, the "hidden" stylists choose stores for the "victim", based on the kinds of clothing she'll be looking for.

I heard, from someone who did the show, that there was a list of stores they suggested to her, however, if she saw a store she wanted to go into, they didn't stop her.
