I'm so excited! We booked our first ever aft cabin C753 on the Star for our first Alaskan cruise next year! We have marked it as do not upgrade. I've read so many great things about these cabins, I can't wait to experience it for ourselves!

You'll love it - enjoy!

The balcony is a little larger and juts out some; also, as you can see, it faces forward (I found this photo of the portside -- same for your side, though -- http://therealtopten.blogspot.com/2010/05/something-like-sapphire-princess.html). To help you get situated as you look at the photo: the deck right above the lifeboats is Dolphin, above that is Caribe, and then Baja. Your balcony is the opening that appears to be cut out of the hull.

The thing next to your room is a stairwell, but it's for emergency/crew use only -- you'll use it during muster drill but after that, you'll have to go forward to the lift/stairs to get up to the pool. Hope this helps.

sweet.

A little extra and next door thats not a closet (we had one cruise we were next to a closet and the cabin stewards rolly carts would roll around and bang the walls at night. not cool) an anchor (holy crap those are loud - no need for your wake up call!) or under a stage where they play until 2 am and warm up / sound check during the day(band cruise) or across from the laundry room

Can you tell we have really bad luck with rooms! The one thing we havent been is under the pool which i hear is rough when they move the chairs to clean the deck.

This looks good... All though reading this im jealous of all the real aft rooms without the wind!!!! Next time!!!

  • 3 weeks later...

We recently did a 16 day TA from FLL to Copenhagen and had 5 sea days in a row. We were on the Emerald Princess in E734. The "wake" noise is loud but tolerable. We did not have a neighbor on the left due to the make-up of the ship and there was a suite on the right of us. The deck is larger than other balconies which was nice and it is totally covered. We had 4 chairs and a table with plenty of room.

However....we were directly above Club Fusion. I had read before booking this cabin that there wasn't much noise. That was correct for many of the nights but on three nights when the band "Evolution" was playing, the bass came thru the floor because they were set up just under our room and all we heard was "boom boom boom".

I don't believe I will book this room again just because of the possibility of a band playing in the lounge. It was only for 4 or 5 hours those three nights, so if you're one to go to the casino, shows, etc....it wouldn't affect you. The rest of the day, it was a wonderful room.

I did complain about the noise several times. I just wanted them to turn the bass down a notch since it was annoying. To be fair to Princess, they ended up compensating me for 3 nights. I didn't ask for it and was totally surprised. I felt that this room should have had a disclaimer as do the partially obstructed rooms saying that there might be noise from the lounge below at times.

That said, I still won't book this room again.

what happened to the wonderful aft balcony pictures that used to be on the first page of this thread:mad:

Think the OP may have deleted them or changed them in Photobucket.

This will cause the link to the photos to be broken. :(

We use photobucket and had the smae thing happen.

Does anyone have pictures of the Emerald balconies C-750 or C-751 ?

You know 2Little come to think of it I have never seen pictures of those balconies either. The links in this thread don't seem to work any more.

I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the cabins B754, 756 or 757 BB cat on the Caribbean Princess (Baja level)? I've looked on other threads and I was wondering if anyone had any pictures or comments about these cabins. I contacted Princess today and asked them if there was a beam in these cabins and she stated no. I know people have had comments about vents but does anyone have anything on these rooms. I'm also not sure what the gap is between B757 and B756. I appreciate everything!

Post 25 on this thread has a photo of the aft of the CB.

You can see the vent between B756 an B757. No beam in those cabins or B753 and B754.

I hope the OP will put the pics back up. Some of mine disappeared when I was doing a recent review after I had too many views- Photobucket made me pay to become a "professional" in order to restore the pics to the forum.

Re:Picture of the aft section of the Caribbean Princess.

I looked at this thread earlier and I could not get the picture to come up. Now I can see it and it really helped. The question I have for the cabin with B754 is (does it have the beam in that cabin or is it the one next door. The picture is not clear on that.

I was also wondering if anyone had a picture of the inside of the cabins? Are the cabins on the aft smaller than the other balcony's?

I really do thank you for the great picture. :D

Hope this helps

I don't know why, but I can't open these photos :( Any suggestions? I was hoping to see where room A731 on Emerald is located . . .

Any help is appreciated!

Some of the links are very old and the photos may have been taken down.

We just had C753 on the Caribbean. The balcony was amazing! We loved the full range view, and the aft balcony was quite a bit deeper and wider. 4 people on this balcony fit quite well with room to spare for sure. We did peak around the corner to see the balcony next door and it was quite a bit longer but it was also a suite cabin. This would be a great set up for families to be side by side with the adjoining balconies.
