Rare DisneyJen Posted December 22, 2008 #76 Share Posted December 22, 2008 I think you are on to something with the PJs. Anyone can buy some old Chico's stuff but only SeaDreamers get the PJs. Now, just what are you going to have embroidered on them? What are your "pet names" for each other anyway? Just please, no hearts or kissy lips on the PJs. Thank you.J. The Chico's comment made DJ's DH spew his Bloody Mary:eek: Our pet names aren't repeatable ... no seriously they are ... ready for this ... Muffy and Biff. Those of you know us in real life will understand. I wonder if they can embroider a Mickey Mouse head instead of lips:p You are so mean! (Donations cheerfully accepted) We call that demonstrating leadership qualities in our house ... which is not to be confused with Bossy or DJ's DH's eighth elf ... B*tchy the folks at the office would probably agree with your first sentence-I hear it a lot from my family too . . . .but as for donations, check the GTY rates brought to our attention by RAYSAN11 . . . Its awfully close to what we originally paid for a 7 day jaunt. Add that to knowing you will be sailing with DJ & DJ's DH and all the other guests posting in this thread. With Captain T driving and Stephane as hotel manager, couldn't ask for anything more (except calm seas).:) FT Actually DJ's DH and I honored to being sailing with such a wonderful gathering of CCer and friends ... as well as our favorite Captain in the world ... Capt. T. We can't wait to meet Stephane as we have heard excellent things about him! Well time to head into EPCOT ... You know what that stands for ... Every Person Comes Out Tired!! RAYSAN11 Posted January 2, 2009 #77 Share Posted January 2, 2009 I just want to wish all the fellow passengers on this trip a happy and prosperous New Year, well in the present times whatever keeps you happy. As I t is now January it means that my vacation starts next month as I fly to Florida on the 28th February, so I am now started to get even more excited about the cruise and meeting all of you on May 6th. Once again have a great New Year. I have already started to lose some weight so that I am prepared to feast on the Seadream II

frequent traveler Posted January 3, 2009 #79 Share Posted January 3, 2009 Got my month wrong MARCH 6th you were scaring me . . . could not bear it if we had to wait until May. Enjoy your vacation and we look forward to meeting y'all. I know ZQ Vol will go shopping in San Juan (he loves the Polo outlet) and I'll be hanging out either pool side or in the casino (since they removed the slots from SD, have to get my gambling itch scratched before we board -- I lose way too much money playing blackjack on board, something about the never empty glass of champagne and "hit me" or "double down" equals major dollar losses). How wonderful that your vacation starts next month. DJ's DH said to me on New Year's Day that the cruise became real to him since we are in '09 now:p Of course Zqvol is right on top of things in terms of the countdown ... I don't know how many times he mentioned the magic number during our post New Year party:D Got my month wrong MARCH 6th We knew what you meant;) you were scaring me . . . could not bear it if we had to wait until May. RAYSAN11 Posted January 5, 2009 #81 Share Posted January 5, 2009 I did some research on other ships in San Juan the same days as we are embarking and disembarking. On the day we sail, March 6th, Seadream are the only ships loading or unloading passengers on that day. But Continental shipping has not got the schedule up for 2009 so there may be cruise ship on a day visit. On the day we sadly disembark there are 3 cruise ships in port. Caribbean Princess, Carnival Victory and Adventurer of the Seas. I originally did this research to see how early I would have to book the air tickets. So the only issue is that carnival docks at pier 4 just along from Seadream. I hope there aren’t any transport issues as we have an 11:10 flight as it is the only way we can get home the same day. Rare DisneyJen Posted January 5, 2009 #82 Share Posted January 5, 2009 When we disembarked from SD in SJU last March on a Sunday morning we didn't have an issue with the taxis ... we were probably the last people off the ship at around 9:15. I might suggest checking with the AD or the concierge when we board as they will have a good idea on flow on disembarkation day.

I am certain there will be no problems getting a taxi to the airport when you disembark in SJU. Isn't that what those forms are for -- the ones filled-out while onboard, where you indicate your flight departure date & time? Taxis have been secured for us prior to disembarking on both our cruises. When we sailed SD out of SJU, she was docked at Pier 1, which is quite a distance away from pier 4. Taxis & their "charming" drivers swarm that area like flies on...well, you get the picture. :)
frequent traveler Posted January 16, 2009 #84 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Had to bump this one up as we are now number 4 on the Itinerary listing for SD 2 at the SD site. When he told me about his salad I knew that he did not eat at the employee cafeteria:p He didn't spill the beans (or should I say the champagne) in terms of what you two discussed:eek: Running out of champagne would be very bad!!! MarDav Posted January 23, 2009 Author #97 Share Posted January 23, 2009 Hope things are well with everyone. Sorry to have not posted in awhile, but work has continued to be very hectic for the both of us with very little free time to spare. We are counting the days until we can escape yet another worse than normal Chicago winter for San Juan on March 5, and we are already also looking at booking another SeaDream trip for later this year. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn in the Condado area the night of March 5. If any get together is planned before boarding SD II on March 6, we are definitely interested. frequent traveler Posted January 24, 2009 #100 Share Posted January 24, 2009 Anyone made any inquiries as to passenger makeup on this trip???? Jim, as posted earlier, we're not changing our plans no matter what ... its not easter break, the pricing changes seems to have eliminated the issue we suffered several years ago . . . so all's right until we hear otherwise . .. and it sounds like there's enough critical mass from CC to make it a wonderful group . . . . as if Captain T would tolerate any shenanigans anyway.
