First impression - Lunch was pretty good. Some sort of grilled tomato,, the pretzel bread, assorted sausages, blue cheese and some others, a taste of pizza, some sort of pork patties with blue cheese ad prosciutto strips - although I'm not sure I got any of the latter two.

The cabins are definitely smaller than Carnival.

The drink prices look cheaper than Carnival; the pour has not been checked and may not be, because, the BAR has ARRIVED! (Smugglers Paradise).

I thought you guys were suppose to leave at 5:30... Based on the webcam, you are still in port at 6:15...

We are on this ship next week... if you post during the week it will just make waiting for this trip even more special...

Thanks,

Kim

Great job on the photos.

I can hardly wait till Spirit comes up to Boston.

With 2 feet of fresh snow up here D.W. would love to go to Cajun country and wait till April 19th to bring the ship North for the summer.;)

Your review gives me hope that some day we will be warm again.

Thank you so much for your time and trouble.:D

Thank you soooo much for the posts and pictures! We are so excited to be going - and just getting ready to pack. Can you tell us if they are offering a discount on pressing clothing on the first day? I have read that there is occasionally a special ($1/ piece maybe?). Thank you and hope you have a GREAT time!

I heard something about a laundry special, but not sure what it was. Maybe it was listed in the Daily or somewhere.

I think the casino beckons.

WOW

You have a talent for showing the things we really want to see.

We love the Spirit. Hope your cruise is as wonderful as ours. Say hi to Roman at Cagney's for us. And when you go to the Garden ask to sit in Orlandos section, his assistant Ahbid is the hardest worker on the ship.

OK, I have a request. My wife and I are sailing the Spirit with my daughter and a friend of hers for spring break. It's kind of her senior trip...

We also play LOTS of Video Poker. Go to Vegas several times a year. There are many video poker games that return close to or even over 100% with perfect play. We can spend hours pounding the machines in vegas and essentially breaking even on the machines in the long run. But the COMPS are what keep us doing it. Free rooms, free food, shows, etc.

So I am DYING to know whether or not there is any good video poker on board. Casinos on cruise ships are notoriously bad with their slot and video poker returns and I end up playing texas holdem ( if they have a card table ) or Craps or BJ.

Would you mind snapping and posting the pay tables ( a pic of the whole glass on the machine will do ) of one of the video poker machines? Set it to dollars first. Then set the game to Jacks or Better. Also a pic of Deuces wild, bonus poker and double bonus would be fantastic.

If you don't mind, I'll post here after I've seen them ( I'll even post what the return % with perfect play is for each of the games ) and then you can delete so as not to clutter up your vacation pics too much...

In reality, what my wife and I will do is look at every VP machine, every denomination, and every game looking for something that is playable. Just a few pics at dollars will whet my appetite and give me an idea though...

I'm also curious whether or not they have any progressives...

OK, thats my christmas list Santa!
