astrohip Posted December 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2008 Seems like a silly question, but if I'm gonna go to the trouble of following y'alls advice, I wanna be right. :) Several people have suggested in the "What To Pack" threads bringing a multi-outlet extension cord if you have several items to charge (laptop, iPod, cell, etc), since there is only one outlet in the rooms. Is it a two prong or three prong? I'm curious--in a GS, can I expect any more outlets? Thanks!

The 240V european sockets are 2 prong with a ground (or should that be sea:D) tab

Darkwolfe Posted December 29, 2008 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2008 Even if they do have a few extra outlets in a GS, pack along the power bar anyhow. Yuo'll still wind up using it. Battery chargers, phone chargers, laptop power supplies.. List goes on and on. Enjoy the Escape from Bayou City there astrohip! Used to live there and wouldn't go back! On city I've ever lived in where gators do double duty as roadkill!
satxdiver Posted December 30, 2008 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2008 All modern electrical outlets in the USA are three prong as required by the electrical code. All of the modern ships are thee prong 120 volt 60 hertz. European standards are different and the electrical outlets are configured differently.
