Westerdam pools

This is our first time traveling on HAL. Does the Westerdam have an adult only pool? If so, do they inforce it? Looking foward to trying HAL. We've always been on Princess.

When we sailed her in December 2007, the aft pool was adults only. This may have changed because some have said that the aft pool is adults only when it is posted as such, however there were permanent signs there when we sailed. When we were there, there was no enforcement. There was a couple who brought their baby into the pool every day (much to our disappointment).

We have seen these permanent signs posted at the aft pool on several ships the last couple of years.

The majority of the people do obey the sign.

But you will always find a couple who don't.

This rule has not been enforced on any ship i have ever been on. Passengers have to voluntarily obey the rules. If they choose not to, no crew member reminds them of the rules.

I will kindly point out the sign to anyone who misses it. We had to do this on a Princess cruise where the hot tubs had a sign saying that children under 16 had to be accompanied by an adult. Of course the kids we turned away from our hot tub simply found another. But we still had peace and quiet in ours.

In April- when we were at the Westerdam's Aft Pool- there were only adults in it. The whole seating area was filled with adults and a few teens.

It is not enforced. It's a luck of the draw.

The Aft pool is usually adults only. I see most adhering to it in my experiences.
