Ah, explained! No doubt you'll spend it, since not all the excursions are free, some are just reduced. And then there's always the spa, which is dreadfully expensive, but with a shipboard credit it's a ncie indulgence.

Ok everyone, I apologize. There was a misunderstanding. Regent is giving me $500.00 extra on board ship credit for being past passenger. Frankly would rather have the $500.00 knocked off total bill since free excursions this June. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

 

We received a postcard in the mail promoting a $500 per cabin shipboard credit as a "Welcome Back" bonus for all 2009 sailings booked by the end of February. Anyone who has previously sailed on Regent should ask your TA if you can get this. Some posters have said that shipboard credits can be redemmed for casino chips or even cash.

Thanks Tombo. I receive a lot of junk mail from Regent , but that is one postcard I didn't get.

I can shed a little light on this for everyone. It is my understanding that this was a select mailing of a postcard to people who had not sailed with Regent for a period of time. I believe it was three years. Not all cruises qualified. It is only for 2009 and only until the end of February. So it is a very limited promotion.
