You can do pretty much whatever you like.

I like sea days with good weather. We sleep late, hit they fitness center, do a few sedate trivia contests, play mini golf, find a quiet outside place and read and watch the ocean go by, take in a movie, eat, do tea time, take in a show, and perhaps other things.

It's good to have a day to slow down.

We'll be sailing on the Dream on 06/19/10. This will be our 3rd cruise (1st wth Carnival). OUr previous cruises had no sea days and this one has 3. Can anyone tell me what there is to do onboard during seadays?

Well, let us start by mentioning the obvious. Eating. Carnival has great food and lots of it. More so than I have found at other cruise lines. I usually start my day in the gym unless I was up late in the Casino. I tend to close down the Casino. On my last Carnival cruise some other people and I left the Casino around 4 am on sea days. If I'm up late in the Casino then I will catch up on my sleep and go to the buffett for breakfast. Then I'll go back to the stateroom and wait for my wife. Sometimes we go to BINGO when they have the games. Or we'll go to the pool area if they have activities there. Other times it will be in the lobby area. Corn hole anyone?

At lunch time it is back to the buffett area. The Deli is really good. The grill is also pretty good too. In the afternoon they may have games in the theatre or the gym if I didn't go in the morning. There is always the pool, but, I don't much like the pool. Sometimes, the hot tub. Sometimes I tempt fate in the Casino again.

In the night we get dressed for dinner and eat. Then the theatre and see the show. Then the Casino. Sometimes we go to a lounge and see a show. Then it is back to, you guessed it the Casino. See days the shops are open and you can look to see if there is anything you couldn't live without. Don't forget the art auction.

Sometimes they have a late show and you guessed it. We end up at the Casino. Then I go for pizza and bring back a few slices and something to drink for my wife. Or we order room service.

Sea days are our favorite. We kick back! We might go to the casino or just lay out in the sun, take a nap, and of course...eat. :D There are a lot of things to do.

Our next trip has 2 sea days and 4 days in a row of ports. I would prefer to have another sea day but will enjoy the ports we have not been to yet.

Last year, we had 3 sea days and it was awesome. You are on vacation so do what you want to do when you want!

I love sea days - the more, the better! I am not much of a drinker and sunburn way to easily to hang by the pool but still have so much fun to do I can't fit it all in! Or you can just do nothing. It's also nice the night before to be able to stay up late and not worry about an early port call or tour the next day. We love trivia, the silly games, the shows, dance lessons, comedians, entertainment, people watching, or just napping and reading part of the day.:D

I am so excited about my next two cruises - our 6 day next month has 3 sea days and 2 Bahamas ports. I'm not a Bahamas fan so we aren't even planning to get off the ship - it will by our 6 day cruise to nowhere! :D The one after that is an 8 day with 4 sea days - did that itin. a few years ago and loved how relaxing it was compared to the 4 ports in 7 days itineraries. :D

Drink heavily... Go eat something, maybe a burger or something else and then drink heavily.

I would love to go on a cruise with nothing but sea days! But to each his own...I realize that some people love the ports. I have never actually gotten into the pool on a cruise - but I like watching the other people - but my most favorite thing of all is just sitting in a window seat (never had a balcony - or I'm sure that would be my most favorite) and watching the waves....that is pure paradise to me! I wish I was on a cruise now - maybe one day they will have a 4 or 5 day cruise to nowhere out of a port in Florida!

Depending on who you are traveling with, you might want to do this:

We take cards, 2 rolls of quarters each and the game Left, Right, Center. The card room is never, ever crowded so we take our quarters, drinks and games. It is really, really fun. Lots of good conversation goes along with it and time to catch up. It's quiet and we get to hang out with each other in a way that we normally don't during the rest of the cruise.

I second the Tea Party. We love that and it's a break from the sun. It only takes about 45 minutes and you get a little food in you to absorb the drinks from the morning and tide you over until dinner.

If they offer a Galley Tour, those are really interesting.

Finally, again this really depends on who your traveling with but we've also used an hour of that time to pre-pack some stuff like organize shopping purchases, bag up laundry and throw out old capers and such. It doesn't take long and if you have a drink fixed and some music on, it's time together that saves a little headache the night before you have to disembark.

Good luck!

Not much. It is a time to sit by the pool and read and watch the sky go by. Most everything else is designed to generate more income for the cruise line. Unfortunately with ships leaving from Florida they are a necessary evil to get to the islands. IMO they are worthless.
