  1. We just booked one of the "regular" front facing mini suites for our July cruise but made a bid on the ones on the side. Your description of the room features sold me that this was a good move vs. a regular mini suite.
  2. Only if it is too windy. They don't restrict it, you wouldn't want to be out there! Also there will be a sign about keeping the drapes closed at night as light may interfere with navigation. You can go out the side door in the dark, just make sure the light is out in the living room. It really is amazing up there. ETA: Attached a movie showing when you wouldn't want to be out there! 3. You can see out the front through a window in the bedroom area. We've been in M108 on a couple of ships and on the Regal that window was scratched. That balcony is the largest on the ship, even bigger than the largest aft Penthouse suite balcony. You're directly over the bridge and the balcony extends out over it giving an amazing perspective. The cabin itself is kind of a shrunken two room suite. The bathroom is exactly like the ones in the mini suites with a tub / shower combo. Not sure if it will post but here is a video I did of M108 on the Majestic Princess right after the restart of cruising in August 2021. IMG_4250.MOV
  4. We just booked the July 13 sailing on the Discovery and I tried to make specialty dining reservations on the app. To my surprise there wasn't a single Sabatini's reservation available all week but The Catch was wide open. I would have thought that the reverse would be true since The Catch seems to be so popular and (at least in my experience) Sabatini's is the least popular. I wonder if there is a glitch in the app and any reservations made prior to the switch stayed with the location and not the actual restaurant? I've written to Princess just in case I'm right - I imagine they would have a lot of unhappy diners if they were expecting one restaurant and wound up with the other. By the way we will be in Maui in June. Will you still be there?
  5. I didn't even notice that because we had the early flight last week and did walk-off. I just looked at our disembarkation instructions and sure enough it did say put luggage out before dinner. They used to say to put most of it out before dinner and the rest by 10 (that time varied). Wonder if that is just a Port Everglades thing?
  6. Look again tonight. We are on your same timezone here in Arizona and folks were seeing them around 8:00 although the best views weren't until later. If it's clear you should be able to see them. ETA: Just heard that tonight the earlier the better as the chances decrease later tonight. So as soon as it's dark check out the sky.
  7. Oh yes. And they come in an envelope from a company called "Bottomline Technologies" so they look like junk mail.
  8. Faster to run it through the casino. Otherwise it’s a long wait for the check.
  9. Same here! We were there last week and the service at the Catch was as expected. It's not a place you go to dine quickly and we had to wait maybe a half hour after our appetizers for our main course. But we were enjoying good conversation (and wine) with our friends so it was a very normal, pleasant, and delicious experience. We didn't go to the buffet much but we were able to get ice tea and water from the buffet stewards. Our only exception was the very last morning when we were there around 5:15 AM and had to get our own coffee as they were setting up. Completely understandable and we used one of the coffee stands our by the Wakeview bar to fill up. As for the MDR, we were on the Reserve Collection side and service was exceptional.
  10. I've been cruising with a CPAP for over a decade and have always been able to fit it on the nightstand. If all else fails pull the nightstand forward an inch or two and set the CPAP in back of the lamp. That was a trick shared with me by a very wise steward many years ago and it's worked on every class of ship that Princess sails.
  11. I think you are on to something. It looked like a rather generic response and the email address / title don't really fit the normal way these things appear in the Princess world. I wonder if they are trying to stir up business by mining the unanswered complaints and think they can lure folks back into the fold with OBC? Wonder who answers that phone number? If it's Princess Promotions I think I'm done.
  12. Very easy even if you don't have priority disembarkation.
  13. That is bizarre on so many levels. Not only the length of time to respond to the title of "Head of Customer Support" which is unusual to say the least. I wonder if whoever was responsible for the errant "free cruise" offers that went out last week is behind this? It would be nice if Princess started taking all of the service issues seriously but $50 OBC????
