Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you both for the info. I went ahead last night and rebooked the new fare. The first chat I did was prior to rebooking and that rep told me not possible to transfer. Perhaps he didn't understand what I was asking or I didn't make it clear enough. This time through Chat with Virgin, I got a very helpful rep who was able to transfer/reassign my seats to the new booking. She said as long as it was "like to like" that was doable. I was a happy cruiser last night! 🙂
  2. I had a question regarding modifying EZ Air flights that I can’t get an answer to. I’ve called Princess and Virgin who I booked flights with. After I booked my flights with EZ Air I went to the Virgin Atlantic site to select and pay for seats. My flight fare has gone down but does anyone know if I will lose my seats if I continue through the process? Princess told me my booking will cancel not “refare”. If it cancels, then I lose my seats and payments. Has anyone had experience with this? Thank you.
  3. I am booked for British Isles Sept 2024. Side note - deposits now show as refundable if you pick your own cabin. They previously had not been. Under new promotion, we refared with cancel/new booking and saved over $800, $200 OBC added, free transfers to/from ship and discount on EZ Air if that’s the way we go. Too early for airfare pricing but I thought that was pretty good!
  4. I asked this same question a couple of months ago, I was looking to book a British Isles cruise in 2024. All dates and categories were non-refundable. My non-Princess TA got on the phone with Princess rep and even the rep was surprised about this in addition to many changes being made that even they don’t know about yet. In the end, my TA was able to book us into a group that her agency had set up with a refundable deposit of $100. My Feb 24 Caribbean cruise deposit was refundable, whether in a group or not. pacnGoNOW, I may have been the one you were referring to. At least I now know I’m not imagining things!
  5. I have been looking at a British Isles cruise in September 2024. No such thing as refundable at this time for any category/location.
  6. Thank you! I thought so, but in the booking process it mentions "upper berth". I've only been in one mini before and that was on Sky Princess. That sofa would have pulled out.
  7. Does anyone know if the sofa in a Category MB Mini on Caribbean Princess is a sleeper sofa? Dolphin deck.
  8. We’ve been looking at either May or September of 2024 so I didn’t even check June - August. I did talk with myTA and for those months she is seeing same no refundable deposits.
  9. Hello all. We are looking into a British Isles cruise in 2024 and I'm finding both the guarantee and select your own cabin rates are nonrefundable! I was wondering if anyone has run into this and is it possible it's a glitch or is there some other reason they would both be nonrefundable a year or more out? I've learned so much from folks on here and hope someone is able to shed some light on this. Thank you!
  10. Caribbean was the first Princess ship my husband and I sailed on and we loved her. I've been on her a total of 10 times and just returned from the 11th after 10 years. I found her to be showing her age (don't we all? LOL) but I wouldn't hesitate to sail on her again. Yes, she is smaller than the royal class ships and so space feels more crowded now. She has a true promenade deck which my husband loves. We had wonderful food and service in the specialty restaurants, we did not go hungry in the buffet, Slice or Salty Dog. Cannot speak to main dining rooms because I couldn't drag my husband in there this time. LOL The crew and staff are always the best and one of the main reasons we continue to return to Princess.
  11. I just got off Caribbean Princess (7 day) and I was able to swap my mini bar for soda. We got all diet coke and it was quite generous. Plus our cabin steward left the waters that were with the mini bar.
  12. I just got back from a 7 day on Caribbean Princess. We ate in Crown Grill one night and my filet was cooked to perfection. I ordered the smaller portion. My entire meal was delicious. And the service was spot on and quick. We did not eat in the main dining rooms so can't speak to that.
  13. I agree with other posters regarding instituting No Smoking in the Casino or on balconies. I would also like to see some different Caribbean itineraries (I live in Florida so PE is close for us) as well as some shorter cruises. Would love to see Island and Coral back in the Caribbean or Alaska as well. Thank you for including CC members in this process.
  14. We are going on the Regal at the end of February and I'm curious about everyone's take on the beds? We were on Enchanted end of November 2022 and they were hard as rocks! I saw a post on another thread where someone mentioned they still have mattress toppers? I thought those had been done away with. Thanks for your input!
  15. We have used a remote site park n go (google it). Cheaper and they use shuttles to take you right to your ship terminal. They handle your luggage. On return, they have shuttles circulating every few minutes to take you back to your car which is pulled out and ready for you. Will load your luggage in the car. Cars are not under a cover like a parking garage but it is totally hassle free.
