I considered this hotel once and reviews weren't very good.

Not the poster but usually the reason is flight costs FLL vs MIA. I know it usually is for many.

Yes...Port Everglades. You can either use Uber/Lyft or they'll be many taxis in the line up ready to go. For a taxi just make sure it's metered and should be around $12.00 per taxi. This is a quick easy trip about 10-15 min or so depending on traffic.

Absolutely no issue at all...just make sure he has his own SetSail Pass.

Of course besides the inside terminal restrooms there is also one just outside the terminal entry door. It was right across from where we saw people getting their rental scooters. We were waiting there for my DH that was returning on the Budget car rental comp shuttle. I actually used this restroom. It's clearly marked.

I must say that on several RCI cruises we've seen the lifeguards very spot on about monitoring this type of situation in the pools. Sorry to hear it's not what you're experiencing onboard your Icon cruise. Hopefully this situation will be addressed with the staff going forward.

I would do self assist walk off and use a private/shared shuttle. We have easily made a flight around this time frame. Usually getting to MCO from Port Canaveral around 9:00am.

Don't be too stressed out if it doesn't fit. We never put ours in the safe. We often leave it out or put it in a cabinet/drawer.

This can and does happen with the Satellite. Happened to us especially on our Panama Canal itinerary....So it depends on where the ship happens to be. Nothing you can do about it when it does.

Just in Saint John again this past October on our Canada NE cruise. There's a fairly new shopping area (container village) right at the port. Also it's an easy walk to the famous City Market.

We stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Elizabeth NJ. Great location and recently refurbished. Our most recent stay was last October. The hotel offers a comp shuttle from EWR to the hotel.

I too am disappointed with the new phone in for RCI. However I got through easily the other day to add our gratuities by just opting for the "book a new cruise" and the "live" rep answered quickly.
