  1. Good you paid by Amex. I have found them to be excellent when I have had problems. Hopefully it will not come to that and between Princess and the TA they can get this resolved to your satisfaction. Good luck.
  2. On your bank or credit card statement does it show the payment has been made to the travel agent or direct to Princess. Some TAs take the payment and then process to the cruise line about 2 weeks later. We now use a TA who has a system in place where, although they take the payment, it is shown as a direct payment to the cruise line. If you have to escalate this you need to know exactly who the payment was made to. I would be pushing for an answer.
  3. We also use Soton regularly but have never tried to leave bags that early. Have you thought about Central train station. Being a city centre station with many cruise ship passengers passing through they may have a left luggage facility. Only other thing I can think of is a day room at the Holiday Inn. Our flight was not until around 7.30 so we had the room until 5pm. However, it cost us £50.
  4. We have a 14 night cruise on Sky Princess in June 25. We also have a 21 night cruise on Britannia in June 26. There are only a few pounds difference in the cost but Princess includes Princess Premium. We are happy with both deals.
  5. Celebrity do this. Never seen it on Princess.
  6. Can you ask Hyacinth if she fancies a nice Princess cruise round the UK, I could do with her along to get me all the goodies.
  7. Tempting but I couldn’t find any 26 cruises. We already have a 21 night on Britannia in June 26 but would have liked a Princess cruise as well.
  8. South Queensferry which I understand is a tender port.
  9. Can anyone suggest the easiest way to visit Leith for the Royal Yacht. Will be using a Rollator so bus/tram/train needs to reasonably accessible although a few steps are possible. This will be in August so expect it will be busy.
  10. The Dome. Book in advance. It’s not a shop however but a bar/restaurant with a tea room. Old fashioned some would say. We love it.
  11. Only 4. When we were on Iona in March I sometimes thought we were the only ones using the washing facilities. Never saw anyone use the washing station in The Quays at all. I don’t get it. Sometimes people say they can’t use hand sanitizer as they are allergic to it. Surely they can’t also be allergic to soap and water. Glad you are enjoying Iona, we have been on twice and have 2 more booked.
  12. I’ll be very interested to see if this is operating on our Regal Princess British Isles cruise this summer. We have very different consumer laws here in the UK but I have to admit that we would probably have done the same as the OPs parents. We would have 100% assumed that a company called Princess Promotions was in fact part of the cruise line.
  13. I can’t find this on the Princess UK website. Any idea how to get the info other than using an agent based in the USA?
