Transfers from Auckland Pier to hotel

We are arriving in Auckland on Feb. 17th aboard the Celebrity Solstice. What is the least expensive way to transfer from the Ship to our hotel in the city?

Well, that might depend on where your hotel is. First guess is taxi.

Uber is much cheaper than taxi.

You will need to download the app before you leave. Uber is legal in NZ not like here in Brisbane. We booked the car once we picked up our suitcases.

As you will dock in the city center it depends which hotel you are booked into, example the Hilton is next door to the dock. Sky city and Grand Hotels a 15 min walk or 5 min taxi ride as they are up hill walking.

Last time we were in Auckland 2 months ago it was a $NZ 10 ride in a taxi from the dock to the Sky Tower.

If taking the taxi from the Auckland pier (Princess ship) to the airport, how long is the ride and how much will it cost?

Around 30 minutes depending on traffic and NZ $70-80.
