Please help...Junkanoo beach or Cable beach in nassau

Any advice on what Beach is better in Nassau. Junkanoo beach or Cable beach? We are going in June and we don't snorkel. Just want to swim some place with soft sand and drinks and food. I know you take a taxi to Junkanoo Beach but how do you get to Cable Beach. If anybody knows of a better Beach let me know. Thanks

Definitely Cable, you can walk to Junkanoo, and it has restrooms and vendors. Taxi or jitney to Cable, no facilities.

We go to the Melia on Cable Beach. There is a day pass, but we feel it is worth it for

how much was the day pass at melia?

Just called Melia and they said the Day Pass is $35, which you purchase at the resort. This includes use of the pool and beach chairs. Food, drinks, and water sports are extra.

Only $35? I had heard prices around $45 pp

You can walk to Junkanoo. Plenty of food, drinks, chairs, live music, public restrooms. We actually had our own beach blanket so saved money on that but seriously it was a good day.

Does The Melia price include towels? It used to.

I'd take the Melia over Junkanoo in a heart beat. $35/pp is peanuts all things considered.
