taxi or shuttle from Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon to POM

Anyone have any advise to either schedule the shuttle from Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon to POM or taxi and how much cheaper taxi may be. HI is 10 per person; last taxi we took to get to POM we had less than steller cabbie and what would you do...maybe it was just a fluke...

Too me, a less than stellar cabbie beats the time and patience involved dealing with a shuttle.

And even though it's more expensive, I like wheeling past the crowd of people waiting, and getting underway.

Just one less line, in a day full of lines.

Sounds like a personal choice to me. I wouldn't take a shuttle if it were free, but that is me.:)

If it's just 2 of you, I would take a cab. We had 9 people and would have required multiple vehicles, so we just used the shuttle which was a big bus.

Taxi should be about $26-27+tip (on the meter, so some variations based upon traffic, etc.). Ask the front desk to call the cab for you - they will know which agency to trust.

Most experienced cruisers will use cab. Leave on your schedule and go directly to your ship.

When hotel shuttles are ready and full, they leave and you might be stopping and unloading at other ship piers.

I agree, even if free, we wouldn't use the service for the ride to the ports in Fl.
