Booked in Haven Suite on Getaway for our 30th Anniversary on October 10th.

Some Haven questions (never been in Haven before)

Is there a special line for Haven at Check-In?

Is both the Spa and Vibe included in the Haven suite?

As a Haven suite, can we request special seating for Illusionarium (table for two)? I purchased the higher priced option

Is it difficult to get lounge chairs in Haven suite?

Is the Haven dining room open for lunch during embarkation or do we go to regular dining room

Thank you......looking forward to great weather!!!:)

Check in will spoil you forever! You go to a special room and RELAX. They come to you for your credit card and check in information. The restaurant will open about 12:30. The concierge will take you on board and if it's before opening time you wait in the lounge and they bring sliders around. Prepare to be pampered and spoiled. We never had a problem finding somewhere to relax in the Haven. You won't want to leave.

Ask the concierge about the Illusionarium. I would think he could make that happen. But the tables for 2 I remember where right next to the stage.

The Haven dinning room is open for Breakfast lunch and dinner. IMO that's a HUGE plus for me. On Embarkation day it opens at 12:30. You can also have meals delivered to your suite but not embarkation afternoon....I think that's asking way to much of the butler.

There looks to be plenty of chairs available up on the sundeck with another hot tub up there too on deck 18. I myself can not see a reason for Vibe if your in Haven. I guess if your sailing was filled with tons of crazy kids but Oct 20th is off season (kids in school) so that would be a anomaly.

Spa passes are another thing all together. I loved the thermal spa on Getaway so much. My DH didn't think he would enjoy it until he saw my pictures. On Escape he is getting a pass too. Of course now our kids are old enough to not need us watch them go down the water slides. It is extra unless your in a spa suite.

Some Haven questions (never been in Haven before)

Is there a special line for Haven at Check-In?

After you finish X-ray/metal detector at the port, look to the left and you will see a room that says VIP Check In - go in there to check in. They will either immediately escort you aboard the the ship or check you in and send you to the VIP lounge which is directly across from the VIP Check In room where there are snacks. Then someone will come and personally escort you onboard the ship via a red carpet crew elevator that comes into the Haven right next to the Concierge desk. If it is before 1pm, then you will be seated in the Haven Lounge where you can order cocktails ($) and they also pass out free sliders. By 1pm, The Haven Restaurant opens and you can go ahead and go in there and have lunch.

Is both the Spa and Vibe included in the Haven suite?

No, but The Haven has a 2 level sun deck and lots of seating and it is more private than Vibe - so not sure why you'd even want to go to Vibe. The spa is included with the Spa Suites, but not regular suites. You can buy a pass online on the NCL website nowadays. Do. You will LOVE the spa - it is FANTASTIC. If you don't want that, there is a dry sauna and steam room and hot tubs in The Haven Courtyard. But the main reason I go to the spa is the amazing water circuit, so I would get a spa pass.

As a Haven suite, can we request special seating for Illusionarium (table for two)? I purchased the higher priced option

The concierge will take you to the best seats in the house about 1/2 hour prior to the show. If you want a table for 2, let it be known, otherwise you will share a front row table with others.

Is it difficult to get lounge chairs in Haven suite?

You mean in your cabin? It depends on the size of balcony. Some already have upgraded loungers. Some cabins have balcony's too small for a chaise lounge. In terms of around the Haven Pool - plenty of seating of all kinds is available.

Is the Haven dining room open for lunch during embarkation or do we go to regular dining room

It is open for Lunch and then everyday thereafter breakfast, lunch and dinner. We usually enjoy all breakfasts and lunches there unless we go to the sushi restaurant one day for lunch - that's what we did before the Illusionarium as we don't like the meal in there. They change the soup in the Haven restaurant and there is a nightly special as well.

Thank you......looking forward to great weather!!!:)

You didn't ask about this, but you need to know anyway, on disembarkation day, if you can self-disembark, you can go from the concierge lounge via that back red carpet elevator and be in the first 20 or so passengers off the ship. This enabled us to take a 10:30am flight home from MIA. We were at the airport gate by 8:30am. It also helps to be a trusted traveler so you get pre-check TSA security.

Is there a special line for Haven at Check-In? Yes as previously mentioned. Tell the staff you are Haven when you go in and you'll go straight to a special area away from the lines.

Is both the Spa and Vibe included in the Haven suite? No but Haven has it's own sun deck up at the top. If you a Haven Spa Suite then that includes Spa access

As a Haven suite, can we request special seating for Illusionarium (table for two)? I purchased the higher priced option The concierge arranges for you meet in the Haven at a certain time and you go down in a service lift and into a side entrance to Illusionarium before they let the queues in. So you can choose whichever table you wish

Is it difficult to get lounge chairs in Haven suite? We've never had a problem. Round the hot tubs can get busyish but the balcony above and the outside sun deck had plenty of space.

Is the Haven dining room open for lunch during embarkation or do we go to regular dining room Yes. Once they've given you the intro talk in the Haven Lounge they invite you to go into the restaurant for lunch any time after 12.30.

Check out this guy's review. He answers most if not all of your questions: http://www.jimzim.net/NorwegianGetaway.html

I know the concierge escorts Haven passengers down to the dinner shows for prime seating, but do you have to purchase the highest-priced option, or can you just pay the minimum upcharge?

I'm assuming this is the same for all ships -- you are seated at the type of seats you paid for when you are escorted to the venue.

The first time we sailed on the Epic we had "regular" Cirque seats and that's what we got. When we sailed on her earlier this year (different mix of people), we got the premium seats and were directed accordingly.

Just because we are in the Haven does not mean that we get seats that we didn't pay for. :)

This was not our experience on the Getaway. We purchased the more expensive seats, but when we were led in to the Illusionarium they never asked what seats we had purchased--everyone from the Haven was seated in the same area. I wonder if it depends on the ship/concierge??
