Rare TLCOhio Posted October 2, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) Oct 2 6:50 AM taken from my home Supper appreciate this unique view of the Silversea ship and the Honolulu high-rises. Brings back nice memories from our first visit to your area earlier this year when we headed down to Australia. Loved Hawaii!! Below is one of my views of your great beach there in Honolulu. I would guess that those on the Silver Shadow could see both of the historic Royal Hawaiian and Moana hotels on the famed Waikiki beach. We are getting ready for a Jan. 25-Feb. 20, 2015, Amazon River-Caribbean combo back-to-back sailing over 26 days on the Silversea Silver Cloud. Fun doing that future research and planning!! THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio Back from doing a 14-day Celebrity Solstice, Jan. 20-Feb. 3, 2014, Sydney to Auckland adventure on this ship and getting a big sampling for the wonders of "down under” before and after this cruise. Go to: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1974139 for much more information and lots of wonderful pictures on these amazing sights in this great part of the world. Now at 79,671 views for this fun posting. Here’s our first view from the balcony of our Aston Circle Waikiki Hotel room of this great beach area. Not a new or fancy hotel, but a great location in the heart of this famed beach area. The pink building shown under the mega high-rise is the Royal Hawaiian Hotel built in 1927 as the second destination resort on this island. At the right is part of the Moana Hotel, now a Westin Surfrider, that was built in the late 19th century.: Edited October 2, 2014 by TLCOhio
