Best thing to do while wait for flight

We have a 7:00pm flight after getting off the Oasis. I hate to spend all day waiting in the airport but my husband is extremely worried about going anywhere and missing our flight. Any suggestions? The only thing I can find to have something to do but keep him from worrying is a ship excursion.

At FLL airport you can store your bags. They close at 5:30pm so be back in time to pick your bags up.

If it's a Sat or Sunday then you can also take the Sun Trolley free from airport to Downtown FT Lauderdale, here you would find restaurants, shopping, water taxi. You could then jump on the 2nd sun trolley which is $1 fee that will bring you down to the beach (los olas blvd area) which is referred to as "the strip". The strip is one side of street shopping, restaurants, bars, other side is the beach. Pic of strip to give you an idea http://postimg.org/image/sbnvg3l21/

The last Sun Trolley that goes back to the airport from Downtown Ft Lauderdale is 4:30pm or you can take a taxi back to the airport from the beach (los olas blvd area) should be no more the $20

That sounds like a great option! And cheap! Thanks! I looked at the bags to go website but have one question. Do you have to go through airport security first or can you go directly to Bags to Go and go through airport security after you pick up your luggage?

Before security (from their website: http://bagstogo.net/faq.php)

In Fort Lauderdale: Bags To Go baggage storage or delivery service to a cruise ship can be purchased from any one of our four locations:

  • Terminal 1-Baggage Claim lower level: located at the end of the building closest to carousel #1. The office is located just beyond Continental and Virgin America's Baggage office, on the right hand side just before the side exit doors. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
  • Terminal 2-Ticketing/Upper level: proceed to end of the building closest to the Delta ticket counter, next to the Business Center/Currency Exchange office. Open Daily.
  • Terminal 3-Ticketing/Lower level: At the end of carousel #8 by the Jet Blue baggage service office. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
  • Terminal 4-Baggage Claim/Lower Level: across from carousel #4. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

No you don't go through security. Only after you pick up your bags and checkin for your flight.
