cwb348 Posted April 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2017 When we exited our cruise ship and asked for a taxi to the beach, we were herded into minivans. We had to wait for the van to fill, and then had to listen to high pressure tours being presented. It was uncomfortable as we were the only ones that wanted to go to the beach, and we had to interrupt several times to insist that no, we didn't want to go shopping first. We didn't see any small, 4 or 5 person taxis. Are they still there - and where??
cruiseapril Posted April 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2017 We took a taxi. Maybe the front desk can call one.
6rugrats Posted April 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2017 There are taxis all over Aruba. Maybe walk up the street next time to find one?
moondog73 Posted April 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2017 In Aruba the official taxis only take 5 max. We had 9 people so we got 2 taxis. Sent from my SM-G920V using Forums mobile app
JandPB Posted April 10, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2017 We grabbed a cab right off the ship to Arashi. It cost us $25 and it was just the two of us. No sales pitch, no tour. Sent from my SM-T377V using Forums mobile app

boca7 Posted April 26, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 26, 2017 we were a party of 4 & the cab fare as we exited the ship was only under $15 ea way to Palm beach. You can also take the bus but the line is usually long to get on, easier to get on the return .
