London Hilton Property Hotels

Any recommendations for either Hilton, DoubleTree or Embassy Suite properties in London that are centrally located with close access to transit systems or the hop on hop off buses? We'll be there for 2 full days next mid-May on Saturday and Sunday.

I love the wardorf property in Aldwich. I think its called the Wardorf Hilton. Its close to the underground and walking distance to a fair amount of Londons Sites, Convent Garden, Soho, Westminster, waterloo etc. Their buffet breakfast is unbeatable...

We are booked into the Hilton London Paddington for next May for 1 night post cruise. It is adjacent to Paddington station which is where the Heathrow Express runs to/from, making the trip to the airport to go home easy.

For location I would choose the Hilton Green Park. The neighborhood is outstanding for theatres, sights, the underground, Chinatown, Soho and many museums all in walking distance.

In August we stayed 2 nights post cruise at the Doubletree Westminster. Nice room & great buffet breakfast. The Original Big Bus HOHO is 2 blocks away...walk out of the entrance & turn right & walk 2 blocks . The HOHO stop is visible & the ticket may be purchased when boarding. The ticket also included the Thames river canal ride. Great time!

Hotel is easy walk to many well known sites in London.

Last November we stayed at the DoubleTree directly across the street from Victoria Station for two nights; it was close enough that we could roll our luggage to and from the train station. We were within easy walking distance to HOHO locations, and within walking distance to certain landmarks.

The DoubleTree had all of the same amenities that are offered at their U.S. locations. We arrived at 9:00 a.m., and they let us check into our room immediately, which was a major plus!

We are going to stay at the Hampton Waterloo in a couple of weeks; I'll report back on our experience there.

Agree totally. We stayed here for 5 nights the past August and it was a great location and very nice hotel. Also just across the park from Buckingham Palace and that area. Just behind the hotel was an area with several Pubs and some other restaurants as well. The included buffet breakfast was very nice.

We like Doubletree Westminster and have stayed there a few times. Only issue is that it can get very busy at breakfast time.

Avoid Hilton Euston as rooms are tiny and we didn't feel it was food value.

Hilton on Park Lane is great.

Are there many eating establishments in the immediate area of the DoubleTree Westminster? This property seems to have reasonable prices at 60,000 points per night. Many others are well over 100,000 points per night.

We like the Hilton at Tower bridge, It is in a part of London that has several restaurants and bars. Is near to hop on hop off buses and a very pleasant walk along the river. Walkable to the Tower of London, London dungeons, Borough market & the London eye. We have walked much further to Westminster and Oxford street but they are a very long walk. The river boats stop close by and there are buses and tube stops otherwise.

I just used Bing.com & requested restaurants close to Westminster Doubletree London & at least 10 presented all 0.1 miles away. The list went on with those 0.2 mi etc.

You can also do this with Google Maps. Just search the hotel, then search for 'restaurants' when you have the correct map displayed.

Thanks to both "surebeatssailing" and "Twickenham" for the responses to my question. I will try your methods of searching.
