Your question on Carnival’s MDR menu is actually quite timely. Carnival’s culinary team has been working on updating the menus onboard and have come up with two concepts – American Table for cruise casual evenings and American Feast for cruise elegant nights. These concepts have already been rolled out on the Carnival Glory, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Imagination and just last month, on the Carnival Breeze and Carnival Freedom. Now, That! is one change that I am looking forward to. Hope it will be on the Victory by October.

I have heard mixed opinions about the new menu. I will try it for myself on the Freedom this Saturday!

John Heald has been posting the menus along for a few weeks now and wow, am I excited for these changes! We are foodies and love trying new things so this is welcome news for us as we have 2 cruises booked so far for 2016 (already sailed in 2015). Cannot wait to have the new menus in place. Just as a side note, based on how many people I've seen whining about them, I am super grateful I was not raised a picky eater :D

Which new main dish did you enjoy the most/least? What do you think of choosing your sides dishes instead of having it just come with the main?

I think Magic and Triumph are the next two ships.

Zydecocruiser has most of the Breeze menus.

The menus have changed since zydeco posted them. The newest ones are on John's page on "you know".

Has anyone been on a ship the first week the menus changed? I would think the kitchen and waiters would have a difficult time and service would be slow.

As long as they still have my Escargot, Alligator Fritters, Lobster and Prime Rib.
