jbrown611 Posted May 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2016 One of the ports on my next cruise is Half Moon. Can someone tell me what it's like there. Is there anything to do on our own or is it best to do an excursion here? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
reerun25 Posted May 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2016 Other than enjoying a beach day, loungers on the sand and renting snorkel gear or mats (unless you rent a cabana or villa), the only option is to purchase an excursion through Carnival if you want to do much of anything else. cruiseapril Posted May 2, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2016 We have enjoyed our beach days there and only took an excursion once- the Eco-Lagoon Tour which was quite interesting. It is a beautiful beach- so all depends on how much beach time one wants.
CruiserBruce Posted May 4, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2016 I am assuming this was moved over from the Carnival board. Now that you are here, some reading down the board will get you tons of info, pics, even some video if you dig deep (or do a search on Youtube). Then you can decide what interests you, as we don't know your interest, budget and limitations.
misshfitz Posted May 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2016 Carnival offers a walking tour, horseback riding or stingrays. We did the stingrays, it is only $30 per person. 99% of people go to HMC for the beach. It is the most beautiful beach most of us will ever see. cb at sea Posted May 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 11, 2016 It's a private beach day..no excursions needed, unless you're not into beaches! You can spend time on the ship, too!
OCruisers Posted May 11, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 11, 2016 It's a great place if you enjoy a beach day! No need to do anything else! :D
AnnieBelle Posted June 1, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 1, 2016 I took my goggles and just swam around the swim area. The water was so clear. We never left the beach area. There's a walking path if you want to head to so,e of the other areas. It's a beautiful place!
