Swimming in late January ?

We are thinking about taking the Ecstasy out of Charleston on January.

It has stops in Nassau and Freeport.

I am going to assume that the pools on board during the trip will be way too cold to swim in, but was wondering if anyone has been to any of the Nassau [or Freeport] day pass beaches.

Do any of those day pass resorts have heated pools ?

Any advice would be appreciated.

We went to Nassau in April and the water was FRIGID. I cannot imagine what January is like........

But according to the previous poster, you should be fine......

Maybe we went during a cold snap?:confused:

Bahama weather averages of 24°C/75°F during the winter, 27°C/80°F in spring and 31°C/88°F in the summer.

I know of no heated pools But in Freeport there is a pool we have used and its free to cruisers ,Unexso.

Average Water Temperature in Nassau in January-February: 72°F-75°F.

Average Air Temperature in Nassau In January: 70°F.

Like the PPs, I know of no heated pools in the Bahamas. I'm sure some must exist, but I've never seen one.

You can swim when it gets to Florida.

Thanks for all the input !

I've been in some fresh water springs in Florida that are a constant 72 degrees all year round, and to me, that is super cold !

The lake that we swim in here in Virginia measured 84 degrees the other day when we were out on the pontoon, and that is a perfect water temperature to swim in for us.

I guess we will have to play it by ear ... or in this case, toe =)

Are any of the Atlantis pools heated ?
