septrack Posted July 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2017 Anyone notice 14 day trips RT FLL are more expensive than the two 7 day trips combined. I ran into it several times while looking at prices form online discount TA's.
easyboy Posted July 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2017 Have not noticed it. Our East/West Caribbean (14 days) in Mar/Apr this year out of FLL was cheaper than the separate 8 & 6 days
Lucky TGO Posted July 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2017 Thanks for the info. I'm going to check it out. Tony
paul929207 Posted July 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2017 I always check the price (factoring in OBC) for each way I could book a cruise to see which is the best deal.
Taters Posted July 26, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2017 Sometimes the best deal doesn't take you where you want to go. I've been on plenty of 7 night Eastern & Western Caribbean itineraries, but my upcoming 14 night Circle Caribbean itinerary takes me to places like Trinidad, Martinique and Barbados. I couldn't care less if I never go to Cozumel again. ;p
cb at sea Posted July 26, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 26, 2017 I suppose because the entertainment and menus are totally different for all 14 days..whereas on two 7 nighters, everything repeats....

No I am speaking of the exact same 14 days on the same cruiseship. Only difference is if you book it as a B2B it is slightly cheaper, than if you book it as a single 14 day cruise.

septrack Posted July 26, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted July 26, 2017 "Slightly cheaper" by how much? And what category? I was looking at BE balconies (cheapest non obstructed) on the Regal leaving on Nov 26th. The total difference was about $100 total if I remember correctly. There was a similar situation for the 14 day cruise leaving on Nov 19th I think. One issue, is if you include the cruise credits offered for FCC, Shareholder, and military credits, the 14 day trip came out a very slightly better deal. Haven't booked yet, no hurry as we can be flexible.
bulldog on water Posted July 27, 2017 #10 Share Posted July 27, 2017 November cruises vary in price greatly based on what week you are looking at. But we usually travel in Fb an March have never found the week plus week to be cheaper that the 14 day.
