What is a good price for a upgrade from a ov to a balcony ?

It depends on the length of the cruise, and more importantly how important a balcony is to you. We never mind paying the difference because it's a big deal to us, but many people would rather use the money for something else. I think it's just about your priorities.

For my upcoming Nov cruise I paid $100 (week long) Since I'm sailing solo I had to pay double so it would have been $50 if someone else was in the cabin. It was from a 4J to a balcony.

I drink little and gamble little but spend a lot of time on the balcony. For me it's worth it easily. Depends on what you enjoy.

I have gone from an IS to a BL on many of my cruises, and have paid between $20-$120 each time total. Depending on the ship, itinerary, sea days, etc. I would probably go up to $200.00 total.

$ 200 total for 7-8 day cruise is about the max we would pay.

We paid $300 to go from a 4k to an 8N on a 7 day on the miracle and were pretty happy about it. Can't wait for my aft balcony!

We just upgraded from a Balcony to a Grand Suite for $ 350.00 each for today's Conquest Cruise. We just got off the Glory Yesterday, and had an Ocean Suite and really didn't want to go smaller. Value is different for different folks. We are not trying to save every penny. But, the difference is huge between the two. Having a balcony is a must for us. We like and need the outside private space. Last week of smoking cigars on balconies for Carnival. Going to light one up just for old times.

it all depends on your perspective. For me $460 is way too high. I wouldn't spend more than 200.00 for the balcony.
