Are there any good beaches in Falmouth? Is it worth it to pay for an excursion or cheaper for a taxi?

Red Stripe Beach is about the only one IN Falmouth. No need to take a ship excursion, there are plenty of taxis and busses that will be heading that way. Most other beaches/resorts are a ways away and you would want to book a private excursion or ship excursion in that case.

You can't get into Red Stripe Beach unless you purchase the excursion from RCCL, but in my opinion its definitely worth it. I think it's $29pp. Gated beach that only cruise ship passengers can access. Food available, loungers and shade if you want that. Here are a couple pics.

Taxis might drive by, but the don't go there. Red Strip is private and only available to ship excursions
