They are all on here. I don't remember their names but if you look me up, I did the Getaway Thanksgiving 2015, Escape Eastern Caribbean May/June 2016, Getaway Western December 2016 and this puppy. Glad you enjoyed.

She acts like she will never see her again meanwhile for my parents 51st anniversary, we're doing a crabfest in Baltimore next week.

Seriously a crab feast in Baltimore and you didn't invite me ? Have a wonderful time with your family, your Mum certainly does not look like someone whose been married for 51 year. I guess that's good genes for ya!

Really Enjoyed your review. Thanks for taking the time to write it. Sad you didn't get to meet the FAMOUS "Doug", he sounds like a hoot!

Absolutely loved your review! It was a breath of fresh air (and was extremely entertaining and informative)! I may duplicate your Cozumel beach escursion in Sept. My family is doing the same itinerary on the Escape in approx 20 days. I am sure that my adult (twenty something) children are also going to appreciate your review!

Yeah my parents were embryos when they got together. Okay teenagers but I blame them for stealing all the marital joy. My sis and I are Olympic level bad daters.

How much was lyft to fll? Flying out of there also and wondering what time you were off the ship and how quickly you got to the airport?

Thanks for the compliments everyone! It was a hair under $40 from port to FLL and we left at 9:17 and got there at 9:50. That was a regular sized Lyft. When we were with Megan, we got an XL, and that was more expensive going from the hotel to port. Crazy.

Random thoughts that don't belong anywhere before I start Day 6:

They should kill one of the parties at Spice H20 (not the 80s) and do a Michael Jackson vs. Prince party. Or just Prince all night. Or maybe just when I'm cruising.

I think Wings is better than the Beatles. Fight me! Also Queen doesn't get enough love. i'd say they should have a early 90s rap party but I know that will cause a race riot.

We were in room 14248 if I didn't mention it. We weren't able to get a handicapped accessible room for 3 people so the room sucked. I mean 3 people can make it if everyone unpacks but if you travel with Megan, she's stubborn and insisted her luggage sit in the space between the closet and her sofa bed. And I had to park the scooter outside and looking back, I should have parked it in the area near the elevators so it wouldn't have been confiscated but hindsight is 20/20. Don't ask if we were Port side or whatever the other name is because I'm just learning my left from right.

Two people with a scooter in a wheelchair accessible room is the bomb. So much room. You can park the scooter in the room and still have plenty of space to move around. On my first cruise with my BFF, we booked late and got an Oceanview because it was expensive over thanksgiving. Well, we ended up with an Oceanview accessible room and it was embarrassing how much room we had. So if you are handicapped, book well in advance because those rooms book quickly and if you can't get one, I'd ask to be booked near the elevators if you can't walk. The oceanview room on the Getaway was room 9700 and it was at the front of the ship and it was a country mile from the elevators to the room. Also there was no sleeping in because we would hear the anchor every morning at 7ish when we docked.

For my fellow Team Chunk ladies:

I used to care what people thought about my body and then I grew up and said f them, it's their problem. My family can be a bit hot headed Italian and we are super conscious when people stare and then we call them out. We didn't notice anyone looking with the exeception of one girl at the spa. But I think she was socially awkward. Or intimidated by lack of f's to give or maybe because I'm built like a super size coke bottle with curves. Back to the point, don't not go to the pool, spa, sun decks because you feel self-conscious. No one is paying attention and if they do, so what, you'll never see them again. And if they stare, call them out and make them feel tiny, it's a great feeling. There are so many places to get beautiful suits and cover-ups for us larger ladies (hit me up if you want to know where) that it would be a crime to stay away because of small-minded people. *end of rant*

Curvy girl here and I try to be just like you and go where I want. I have really loved your outfits and would love to know where to look online for some for my cruise in February

Thought of an update that may be useful. People always ask if you've gained weight from a cruise. Mom gained 5 pounds, Megan isn't telling and I gained two pounds or in British terms (2 pebbles). With the ship being so big, you get in the steps to offset eating like a piglet.

Enjoyed the review. Thanks for posting. We were on Escape when she was newly hatched and still experiencing growing pains, but it was a great experience. I still prefer the Jewel Class but Escape was pretty sweet, too. We enjoyed "After Midnight," but it was too long. I can't sit still that long. That's when I really missed the balcony that the Jewel class theaters have. The balcony makes it easy to sneak out. Good luck with your Jeopardy aspirations. I was on the show for several days back in 1994.

People that love the Jewel class seem very devoted. I met a woman that loves the Gem and it's her fav ship. I'd like to do a Southern carib trip next but being a newish cruiser, I don't know if I could go from mega ship to regular ship. Any advice?

After our first NCL on the Dream, we thought the Jade was a huge cruise ship. The Jewel Class have fewer bars and entertainment venues, but they still have plenty, plus they have the tried and true Cagney's, Moderno's, Le Bistro, etc. Boarding, port calls, and the like are a little less chaotic because of fewer people. And since you're a casino person, I think you'll find enough options in their casinos to keep you happy. If you're ever able to splurge, you can get a suite on the Jewel Class for less, because they have both Haven and non-Haven suites. All of the suites on the mega-ships on Haven, not matter where they're located. A non-Haven suite doesn't have access to the Haven, but that's the only difference. They're less expensive. The Haven on the Jewel Class is pretty small. Just my opinion, but perhaps sailing on the Jewel Class is a little more laid back while at sea because there's not the sensory overload you can get trying to see and experience everything on the mega-ships. To be quite honest, regardless of the class ship, you're on a cruise and it's going to be a blast. We just choose the itinerary now, and are happy with whatever ship it is. Anything beats being on an aircraft carrier with 6500 of your closest friends.

I promise you I'm not an entitled brat at work. :-)

... they had no rooms that would accommodate 3 people unless we downgraded to an inside cabin (NOPE). We kept our balcony cabin and I stored the scooter in the hallway.....We had no problems until the last day. On Friday, they took it and stored it in a locker. No idea why they waited until Friday to do that but whatever.
:confused::confused::confused:
