Question about the renaissance Cruise Port Fort Lauderdale

Hello,

I have a couple of questions, and usually when I ask in forums here I get pretty good answers :-)

I have booked through Chase Sapphire portal for my upcoming cruise the Renaissance Cruise Port in Ft Lauderdale for Half the price of the advertised price on Renaissance website which always makes me nervous.

Couple of questions. I called the hotel, but they seemed clueless.

1) Are the room renovation over? I read everywhere October but I can not see for sure.

2) Are their 2 bed rooms with double bed or queen bed? Again, I asked and they seemed to act as I was from another planet. They told me they do not have double beds, just queen (which is why I booked this hotel in the first place) but I can not be sure if they understood what I was trying to ask...

If anybody could help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I can't answer your specific questions, but we stayed there 2 years ago and would book it again in a heartbeat if we could get a great rate again. Super location and very nice hotel. Take a walk to the Bemini Boatyard for happy hour and save a lot of money on beverages if you like to do that :p

I booked this hotel for $91 on LMT. Can anyone tell me if there are places to eat/shop within walking distance(short walk). Thanks

Hi:), yes, there are many, many restaurants and shops within walking distance of this hotel.:) I have stayed here before and there are 2

restaurants in the same location as the hotel....go out the front door

and if you walk to the right side you will find Bimini BoatYard and if you

walk directly ahead you will find Bravo's Italian. These are both on

the same property as the hotel.

If you stroll down further, you will find Harbour Shops (shops and

restaurants) that is across the street. You will also find a Ross store

(on the same side of the street as the hotel) along with Einstien Bagels:D

I would go there for breakfast rather than the hotel.
