Drink Card on Empress

Can anyone who has recently been on The Empress confirm or deny that they are selling drink cards?

I sailed on Empress in July & September - no drink cards on either sailing.

I did see a drink card offered at the Cafe Royal. I believe the price was $55 and the card had punch areas along the bottom. I am not sure if it was exclusive to the coffee bar. I had the drink package so I saw it only in passing. Hope this helps.

The drink card was not offered on our October 4-night sailing on Empress. It was offered on day 4 or 5 on our November 21st 7-night cruise. It was around $66 including tax and was good for any 10 drinks $12 and under.

I just asked the Boleros bartender - no cards. This is on a 3 night sailing.

Has anyone seen this recently? I'm on Empress next week and did not purchase the drink package so it would be great if this was offered.

We have had reports of it being available - even on my sailing, right after my post above, I asked later at a different bar and it was available. $59+18% grats. You may need to wait till day 2, but just keep asking if it's not advertised in compass or at the bar.

I just saw that the drink card is available a day or two into our cruise. Is there a limit on the price of the drinks that the card can be used for? I recently started drinking Old Fashions, and it looks like they are $12. Could I use the drink card for that?

Also, we are Diamond members and heard they load drinks to the card to be used in the lounges around the ship. Are there only certain drinks they can be used for?

The card drinks are limited to the same as the drink package - usually $12. The D drinks are limited to the ones typically in a D lounge - the bartender can tell you what those are.

You get three drinks loaded on your card that can be used in most bars. They are limited to drinks available in the DL and can be used only during the time that drinks are being served in the lounge.

Selling Chops for 20% off every day. I bargained for 25% no problem. Ate two nights in Chops and it was not half full. With the "discount " I felt it was worth it.

I guess there is no First Night Done Right offering on Empress since there are not enough specialty restaurants to choose from?
